Hey girl friend I remember when the Hawks owned the Ralston-Purina arena (and the Vancouver arena) when Boon Boom Caron, Johnny McKenzie, John Brenneman and Phil Esposito played there. Thatw as because hick towns had minor league teams because they couldn't get enough fans to fill those games.
Maybe Bernie Fejerko's blathering "expertise" and your homer coverage has you believe you are the center of the enitre hcokey universe, but sadly a bush league town still trying to be more than a suburban frightened populace running from their city but oh so willing to say they are from "St. LOUIS."
And maybe if you hadn't arrived here today and been here awhile back you would realize that most here know more about the game than you have forgotten. - wiz1901
Wiz - Alan Caron was my favorite Braves' player when I used to see them at the Arena - just stand at the point and blast away - couldn't skate at all.
I remember Espo down there, and Dennis, too, I think.
Chicken wire instead of plexiglass, too - doesn't seem right, but that's what my mind says I remember. |

That about covers it Wiz...nice history lesson.
If it wasn't for Blackhawk ownership when expansion was debated, the Blues wouldn't exist. |

I just don't see the point in calling someone an inbred, or a bandwagoner.... it adds nothing to a discussion but disrespect. I'm all for arguing minutiae of any given play, or decision. I prefer civility if it can be found. - InvisibleOrange

Got it.
Blues fans have been respectful and dignified in their commentary
Hawk fans? Completely classless all the time!
Here's a word that you should look up in the dictionary: reality. - CaptainBlackhawk
Have any response for what my post actually said, or are you only capable of using straw man arguments? |

I'm not suggesting Seabs didn't deserve a suspension, my point is that Orpik's hit was deemed CLEAN...
...which at full speed is beyond ludicrous.
Consistency is lacking when dispensing "justice". - ArlingtonRob
If you have been watching the B's and Wings, there have been at least 3 occasions where guys have elevated themselves into guys on the boards well after the puck has left. Why is that considered ok? Ludicrous is a good word. |

Great attitude...but how can you stand to be around most hockey fans then.

Like we said before. Keith doesn't initiate it. He retaliates. Backes must have taken a cheap shot at Keith or Seabrook to warrant such a response. - faustus1500
so what does that have to do with slashing o'shie or trying to give tarasenko a buffalo bob...did everybody do something to keith? |

Agreed...there's a fine line and always will be. At full speed, in the heat of battle, regretful decisions will be made.
There will always be questionable hits that result in endless debate and arguing...just the nature of the game. |

Where is the NHLPA when you need them?
I guess Raffi Torres is the only one who gets legal counsel. |

Ok, what did Toews do to Ott? Or did you miss the two handed swing he took at the back of JT's legs where there isn't any padding?
They showed the replay several times during game 1 as Toews missed a little time on the ice.

Happy to hear it, good for Chicago to have the Hawks back.
A lot of the fans are giving you guys a bad reputation though. You'd think after years of humiliation you guys would learn to be a little more humble and classy. - hankthetank
And for you to pick a day like this to be chirping over here, when you almost never do, shows exactly how classy you are. |

Talk about talking out your ass. Most guys here have been fans for 20-30 years.

NHLPA is a union. Unions do not work holidays, weekends, or most hours of the day on weekdays. |

Give it a rest...it's the playoffs.
There's plenty of garbage going on on both sides. Do you actually think the Blues play like saints? Half of your roster is guys who play with the proverbial "edge". |

Because as a Blues fan, it is hypocritical. No doubt Keith has played border-line cheap/dirty, but that is playoff hockey. Everyone is grabbing, holding, slashing, cross-checking, etc.
If you think the Hawks are bad, wait until you play a series with LA, SJ, or BOS (if you're lucky). - CBHawks88
did that done that with la...not very well either...
actually i don't recall the hawks playing like this...physical yes, dirty/cheap no... |

Let's talk about tomorrows game. Who is going to play next to Duncan Keith? Do you keep the second blue line intact? |

you're right it's the playoffs, no rules anything goes...
hitting harder, making the xtra effort to block shots, playing a 2 way game, giving it your all every shift, that's playoff hockey...cheap is cheap playoffs or not...

+1000.
Calling people names who then call you names who then are called names....phucking unending and pointless circular exchange.
