But does anyone else think Philly might buy out Lecavalier?
He had a decent season (scored 20g), but they aren't paying him all tht $$$ to be their 4th line center
He could be exactly the type guy that Murray was talking about signing
And I think he'd be a good role model for the kids...

Maybe we could sign him to a 1yr deal & tell him we'd trade him to a contender at the deadline?

No, they just bought out Briere and Byrzgalov. They aren't going to keep buying guys out

The Panthers willl take one of the Sams my bet it's Reinhart. Everyone thought Seth Jones was a lock to go the Avs 1st, no way the Panthers pass up more scroing IMO.

I think Florida will take him and we won't have to worry, but it certainly is possible they go with a forward

We'll just take TWO forwards in next years draft

And if the other one ends up being Barzal or Strome...

They are out of Compliance buyouts . They cannot buy him out without paying the penalty in upcoming seasons.

What is it with you and Ekbald ? Murray has said he thinks he will be good , but not a franchise defense man . Drafting a defense man with our top pick will set the rebuild back a year. Defense men take longer to develop. I know he is another Shea Weber . Weber was a 2nd round pick ! He was granted exceptional status . We have heard that one to . Enough already !!
