I know I knock the guy a lot, but I really just feel sorry for the guy. He is a consummate pro and gives all he has, just put in such a no win situation. Kind of wedged into the team.

Maybe we will find out he is the slovakian Antonio Cromartie? And the Hawks are doing their best to help him feed his 17 kids from 15 mommas back in slovakia? Ok far fetched..but...you just have to wonder....

Q has made him an important part of a very effective PK - both in the last half of the regular season, and in this series - they've killed 12 of 13 this series, and came within 8 seconds of killing the major that was the 13th.

Hjalmarsson, Kruger and Handzus had the most PK time today: Q trusts him and uses him.

And will again on Monday is my guess.

jeez. I just saw the seabrook hit on backes. Was watching my flyers get brutilized at the time.

Which poster was it right after the orpik hit on Toews that was saying how much of a stand up player seabs is and how seabs doesn't hit people with the intent to kill them?

If I were betting id say this series is over. Just too impossible to come back from back -to-back heart breaking losses like this...just wasn't meant to be this year. Despite whatever you wanna look at I really feel like this year is a lost cause given the Magnitude of these losses. really sucks....id beAMAZED if they recovered...jus bein real.
- SimpleJack

Yeah I don't see it either. That 3rd period prevent defense in game 1 was a huge mistake. Plus the powerplay has been a complete joke. Doesn't look good this year

Probably me. I said it a few times and this was his 1st very bad hit. Sooner or later everyone gets fed up with cheap-shotting bullies and you get sick of it and go a little too far.

At this point you have to sit Bollig for Morin. I appreciate what Bollig brings but something needs to change.

Last year - regular season and play-offs - they always (except for games 2/3/4 against Detroit) played like they expected to win - regulation, overtime - didn't matter: they looked like they expected to win.

This year mostly they're playing most of the game not to lose - but it feels like they're expecting to lose.

Certainly since January started. The Hawks ain't been right since the Calendar flip'd.

Rather simple at this point...Monday is basically a must win

Yeah that's true and I don't know why. They should have confidence after their cup success. Anytime Hossa wants to score a big playoff goal is fine with me. I was glad to see Sharp play pissed-off. Kane looks really off. That is to be expected though. What really hurts is we were just about 2 minutes away from being up 2-0

No question Seabs should have pulled up and then speared him in the balz....heck for a no penalty and a $5000 fine? Why not? Gotta luv the NHL!!

TC owned it a few posts below, but until today the statement was true.

Don't agree with targeting the head and this was one play which doesn't make Seabrook a dirty player.

I think I'll start the "Seabrook, Seabrook" chant at the UC Monday. Only thing he did wrong was not fall on Backes head with his elbow as they both hit the ice. IF the Blues move on I'm hopin the Hockey Gods still have Backes in his wheelchair drooling on his bib.

Haven't read the 200 pages of this thing but it happens. Seabs had him lined up and Backes was bent at the knees, out goes the lights. Don't think there was any intent but that won't, and shouldn't, matter. Seabs will get a game or two.

So the Blues held court by the skin of their teeth. Hawks win the next two at home and we're back to where we started needing a road win which is very doable. I still like the Hawks chances as did Vegas today. Hawks opened a -115 and closed -120!!

Thanks. He isn't a dirty player. Bullies just make me sick. They get away with so much crap all the time. Finally someone gets sick of their dirty ways and really nails them and yet they are the ones who get in trouble. Backes had so many dirty hits his whole career. Running everyone from the start. Seabrook finally gets sick of it and goes a little overboard and will pay dearly and backes gets to keep doing his crap. I'm sure he will be back next game

I'm just saying I'm glad it was Backes and not Schwartz, Tarasenko or Steen. His broken foot (speculation) has been limiting his effectiveness in the first two games.
