Yes he's been great at times....but an elite goal tender locks it down with less than a minute left....at least in one game
- UnnamedSource

Yes but hes not an elite goalie. Dont mistake him for one.

They really need some youth right now - Zeus had his lay on the puck moments towards the end of the game but
Regin Morin and Brookbank should all be in Monday...

- DK002

How does "youth" help? Plus Regin and Brookbank are old

No, went on tape delay for a while with a family function. Make sure you take off the Zues jersey and hang her up before you eat. Don't want to stain it!

Zeus played his nuts off today TG....he was huge on the pk throughout the game. Be fair dude.

SLB...I don't post here much anymore. But they almost killed a 30 sec 5 on 3 and whole 5 min major. One more clear and that game is over with a win.

This is a complete team loss. They were comatose the first 30 plus mins. 9 penalties. And a ridiculously high head hit by Seabs when the Hwks were in control. No reason for that hit or play at all.

That psycho play by Seabs cost them this gme and maybe the series. I suspect at least 2 gmes suspension.

- bogiedoc

Welcome back - stick around.

A complete team loss - INCLUDING the guy in net.

And what's worse - STUPID hockey - shouldn't get that from this experienced team.

He played a solid game overall...huge save on Ott to keep it close early....the equalizer was weak, but he was screened.

Too many point shots getting through.

- philco28

And why? Again, a shift in strategy from pressuring point men to collapsing into the box, which does nothing but create more screens and more pinball bumpers to redirect the puck.

At some point guys, Q has to be held accountable for over thinking things.

The Blews are getting out physcalled by a finesse team. the hawks are giving hem the type of game they play every game and the Blues don't like it.

this is the way these teams have played against each other for years so what else is new. I expect a 7 game series and a hawks win

- mmurray892

Out physicalled? The blues have out hit the blackphucks in both games lol

Curious TC, I was looking through the posts during the game and when the Blues were up you were posting more than most guys on here. As soon as the Hawks began to take over the game your posts became fewer and fewer and less critical, then after they lose you're back trumpeting how bad everything is. Are you really a Hawk fan or just an anti Blackhawk troll?

I understand why people hate Backes, but can you guys point out any dirty plays the Blues have made this series? By my count, we have two very dangerous plays by Hawks player in this game (the knee on knee, and the shoulder to head), as well as one team's coach grabbing his crotch. Objectively, if you had to pick a team lacking class, it's pretty clear cut.

- charlest

Just off the top of my head, in Game 1 Ott slashes the knee of Toews hard from behind while puck was up the ice. Reaves hit on Toews also was shoulder to head but refs missed that too. Plenty of dirty plays by your Blues chuck. Refs gave you a few tick tack PP's too btw.

Don't anyone here call the Blues goons ever again. Hawks were nothing but dirty goons today.

Not that I mind it. Making for a great series.

- bcallaway

Hawks played like asshats today. It is eerily similar to the Pens vs Bruins series. Hawks wanted to send a physical message to the Blues but that isnt the Hawks game.

If someone else taped this game I'd be interested if you see the same thing that I do. With about 22 seconds left in the 3rd period I was mad because Hjalmarrson had the puck behind the net and couldn't clear it which led to the tying goal. When I go back to look at it again, it looks like Oshie tripped him so he couldn't get anything on the clearing attempt and the Ref was 10 feet away looking right at it with no call.

The thing is they were actually being aggressive with the lead until 5 minutes of PK. I felt much better this game than last game before the head hunting.

We normally don't take 9 penalties in 1 game. Zeus can stay in the lineup but he needs to play on the 4th line.

We've scored 6 goals in the series so far and only 1 has come from a forward. That is very worrisome and needs to change if there's any hope of turning this around. I'll be surprised if Morin isn't in the lineup on Monday. I'm not sure who will sit but it's time for a change.

- DarthKane

What needs to change is staying out of the box, stop engaging the Blues after the whistle and doing a better job of getting pressuring the Blues when they have the puck.

TG, Crawford has played as poorly as anyone else on this team - and that's a lot of poor.

Make a big save to win a game.

- StLBravesFan

In fairness, the Hawks are not even in the game if he didn't bail them out for the first half of the game.
He definitely needs to have the short-side tying goal, the one from the first game to tie it and of course the winner

The trilogy is on the way. The one I won't bother to read because I could write it myself and nail it word for word.

He's certainly not young. Only one team in the league has an average age over 28.

Yeah and if you watch the continuation of the play, another Blews player throws an elbow into Toewes face

I would assume Regin and Morin are both younger than Zeus and Brookbank will be in with Seabs out...sorry for including all three players in that statement...

Again Phil, put him on 4th line and let him kill penalties all day if that makes you happy. He is a 2C on the team. Has any hawk fan, so blinded by their insistence to oppose anything I say, stopped and thought, "Hey, what would an extra goal every other game mean to the teams record?"

That is what 2C's do. Whether a goal or an assist. Meanwhile, we have the biggest epic roster failure in years here and we don't even wonder what the opportunity cost is for the decision.
