Agreed, not a good time for him to be here.

Like, what are we going to do - give him a virtual beating?

And can't believe Crawford was so out of position - just cover the short side when the shooter is so far over to the boards.

But - again - Seabrook the ultimate bad play - and too much stupid by the whole team.

- StLBravesFan

Judging by the immediate reaction to the hit there appears to the be the foundation of an endless circular argument of bad hit (it was) or not bad hit.

If the Hawks don't win I'm definitely going to avoid this place until the next game, and even then, that probably won't stop the endless hand-wringing that is sure to follow this.

Pot meet kettle Carcus. Backes plays dirty and loves to line guys up like this. I'm not saying the hit was clean and Seabs needs to be smarter, but this is the kind of play you guys have been lauding all year.

If the play was reversed and it was Backes hitting Seabs all we'd hear from Blues fans is Seabs needs to keep his head up. You can tell me I'm wrong but somehow I don't think so.

- HawkintheD

I am sure there would be Blues fans that would, but not me. That was obvious.

We all know Seabs isn't a dirty player. I've got no beef with the hit AT ALL.
- philco28

I think he knows who he's hitting..........like Orpik
Has a player in a vulnerable position......like Orpik
And hits to hurt him...........................well, you catch my drift

Yup. He will get a suspension...but I do find it ironic that that its the hawks that aren't on the receiving end of a hit like this. But who the hell cares right now...just win it in OT and figure out that crap after the game. Same crap different day for the NHL. Players don't respect each other

love how much you called the Orpik hit dirty at the time. Now you say Seabrooks hit was the same thing, yet somehow now it's not dirty.

Simple eye exam will allow you to see there is no difference.

Oh...video evidence of one guy hit in head and another from side in shoulder?

Jump to conclusions guy...I like it...skip the details and state your conclusion. Kind of like "yada yada yada.."

Crow was cheating one way trying to peer through a screen...but BAD GOAL. Still, he kept us in this game.

They ALL keep you in games: need to close them out.

Did anyone notice that no one from the Avs thread is over here to condemn Seabrook for the hit on Backes?

I'm sure he defended Cooke as he ended careers too.
- CBHawks88

Yeah because Cooke was on the Penguins, that hit on Seabrook wasn't bad. Great point.

Watching this play live and on replay, I thought Seabs forearm grazed Backes shoulder and then went to the head. Watching this gif and this angle, it almost looks like Seabs forearm hit Backes elbow or slightly underneath Backes bicep and Backes hit himself in the head. Tough to tell from this angle.

Still came in a little high.

I didn't call the Orpik hit dirty.

Talk to some others here that feel that way.

Of the two players who you you say is a cleaner and more honest player Seabrook or Backus?
