Are you serious?

How bout Zues doing a fine job skating circles around the net. Win a puck battle....engage someone.

Seems like the hawks have completely lost their identity. Looks like they are chasing the puck and hits. They need to stop looking for hits and get possession of the damn puck otherwise they'll be the first playoff team on the greens.

I'm not a big Crawford fan, but it kinda looking like he is the only one interested in attempting to win the series.

That second goal is beyond inexcusable by Crawford.
- rollpards19

What are you talking about ?

He already made 2 saves seconds before that.mzus losing his check ? Toews not selling out to block that shot ? Hossa standing in the slot could have blocked the shot. Crawford saved their ass on that phucking Keith/Sharp mental ness.

STOP PUTTING FORWARDS ON THE POINT FOR THE POWERPLAY. IT DOESNT WORK . Let defenseman who know how to play that position play it with the luxury of a little more open space.

They are looking like the Phucking Keystone Cops out there. Can't skate , shoot from 40 feet every time , power play is embarrassing , no net front presence , "did I miss anything" I'm sure I did. And I am in Chicago for a few more days surrounded by my brother and sister Hawk Fans. We obviously need the next goal or it's over. It almost looks like the Blues are laughing at how inept we are.

Lots of players messed up, the goalie is the one with the most responsibility. If he doesn't stumble it's an easy save, that's on him. Not going to get an argument from me on Handzus.

He was playing well at the end of the season so you think he'd get a shot in the playoffs but not with Q.

If I'm not mistaken, every single player in the lineup has won at least one Cup.

Besides Crawford there has been minimal intensity, interest...being 'satisfied' should not be enough. Put the guys who haven't actually won anything (Regin, Morin) in the lineup and get that playoff energy and desire that, so far in this young series, this team has been lacking.

- prd797

I agree. There are so many guys that need to be sent a message, it's a shame we only have 2 guys you could really sub.

Hopefully, they circle the wagons and figure out the playoffs have already started.

Wonder, if they do go 4 and out (which right now seems VERY likely) -- who loses their job? Does Kompon or Kitchen finally take the fall?
- savvyone-1

Interesting thought...

If the Hawks do poop the bed, who becomes the organization's sacrificial lamb? I don't think it will be Kompn or Kitchen. Weeks?

We respectfully (or not LOL) disagree. CC has been asked to be superhuman, especially on that last sequence where he had to make THREE bang-bang stops in about 0.13 nanoseconds. It's too much to ask...

No goals in 120 minutes now: anyone still want to talk about the 2nd most goals in the league?
- StLBravesFan

With our talent, only one reason: hairbrained line combos that don't take advantage of individual strengths and collective chemistry. In short, Q!

It's too late for that. Have to wait until game 3.
- EKolb13

At this point, I don't think there is anything that Handzus can do that would make Q take him out of the lineup. He was done after last year. He gave what he had left in the playoffs, helped this team win a cup and I am appreciative of that fact. But he gives this team absolutely nothing as a second line center. There is just no logical reason whatsoever as to why he is in the lineup. Seriously, is Q saying this team would be much worse with Regin in at that spot. Q gets all the accolades when things are going good, so it should be no problem for him to accept some criticism when they aren't. This team looks about as unprepared to play a game as I've seen in a long, long time. No PP, turnovers and mental mistakes all over the ice. Crawford is under siege and has made some huge saves, but that third goal in game one and that first goal today can't go in. Unfortunately, in a series this tightly contested, one mistake is all it takes to cost you a game.

We have enough goals, that is why you play Zues for more defense. This is what I heard all year.
- TrueGrit

TG, enough: of he were the only one screwing up out there, they'd be fine. He was out there only 3 1/2 minutes - 1 of them on a successful PK.

Who was out there the other 16 1/2 minutes?

Everyone is screwing up as much as Handzus.

No one can clear the puck, transition to offense, fore-check and retrieve the puck in the o-zone. Doesn't matter if they have net presence if they can't control the puck.

So asking your goalie to save an unscreened shot from the point is too much to ask. And Sharp was top 15 in PP points on the year, pretty sure its working

Blues physicality has rocked the Hawks' mentally. Passing is terrible. Everyone's hearing footsteps. No poise with the puck. Next to zero confidence. Just phucking awful.
- philco28

I completely disagree. We've been out hit a lot more in previous years playoff series...We're losing because of a lack of intensity and effort. Only one showing some heart is 50

I saw that too.....kid needs to keep his mouth shut. He may be taking a shot at Q but he is also taking a shot at his former teammates. Also puts Morin in a bad spot.....classless pos.
