Hahaha! Like the league will suspend a Bruin!! LOLOLOL!!
- CarlitoBrigante

Maybe it'll suspend one of the minor leaguers when the team is healthy to appease the rest of us.

Your all acting like this was the first time lucic done something like this if he wasn't called upon the red carpet(so to speak) during the regular season, how can it be done now in the playoffs. I don't condone the behaviour, but you can't change the rules when it's already been established.
- JETSWIN

Yes you can; otherwise, it will never change and stuff like this will always be tolerated. Suspend Lucic now for enough games that he and others get the idea.

I can't believe how dumb he is? Makes sure the refs don't see him but forgets there's about 10 cameras on him....

This should be intolerable to the league. This is the part they should get rid of in the game, not fighting.
- SabresNHL

It would be for most players. But Milan Lucic plays under a different set of rules. I don't think the NHL has any problem with him behaving like this.

Meh give cupcheck (credit TB blogger) to Bergeron or Iggy with a "you can thank Lucic" and carry on.

He did the same thing to Markov or PK at the last game Habs-B's. And didn't get nothing, so he's doing it again. Cost nothing to him.

This crosses a line. Much like the code amongst fighters, EVERY player in the league, or any player that plays professional men's sports, knows that the junk is off limits. A hack to the back of the legs gets the same message across and, sad to say, much more tolerable. No one expects a junk shot from behind. And there's not a hope in hell he gets a suspension even though I think he should get a couple of games minimum.

That's why I hate Lucic. I don't know how even Bruin's fans like him. The NHL won't suspend him or any other Bruin because Boston is the city they are making a lot of money on and they want them to keep advancing in the playoffs with the league earning more and more money from the tickets sold and the playoff merchandise purchased. I know its reality but it shouldn't be this way. I mean, Lucic did/could destroy DeKeyser's future children.

It's safe to say that no other league or level of hockey would tolerate this, and the fact that we are here questioning if the nhl will suspend someone for an act like this shows a lot about the department of player saftey.

Suspend him for the remainder of the playoffs. That was deliberate intent to injure and there is NO PLACE for it in sports.

Lost a ton of respect for Lucic because of this.

The time to do that was the regular season, not now in the playoffs. Not saying it's correct, but lucic did do in the regular season. No suspension then, no suspension now.

Maybe a suspension for the rest of the first round. And reparations to DeKeyser's girlfriend.

That's good! Suspend for the series!

That should be 4 - 7 games. No question, no appeal.

Players get suspended for less ALL the time. Lucic is/has been a dirty player and this is just another example.

I'm sure he won't be suspended, but I think he should. If Quenneville got $25k for cupping his own crotch, I gotta think the going price for rakeing another guys chassis with your stick has gotta be 6 figures...

If John Scott did it he'd have a ten million dollar fine, would be suspended for life and would have 25 years in prison, no bail.
