I know his system is geared toward teams built a certain way (primarily teams that can skate), but that aggressive hockey to me is always much more fun to watch than d-first.

If I had to watch the game 1 style they played all season long I really don't think I'd be able to stay awake.

I wouldn't start him unless he was 100%. Hopefully he is. I worry about lingering effects of a concussion, although they have gone to great lengths to avoid calling it as such

They weren't exactly the 1995 Devils, though. You act like they're some kind of trapping, no attack team. That's hardly the case.

In current events, Dave Isaac tweets that Mason is on ice at practice and that Cal Heeter isn't, so at the very least it seems Mason will be able to back-up Emery, if not start

Game 2 - 3-2 Flyers (Mason comes back)
Game 3 - 4-3 Flyers (Mason hurt again late in game)
Game 4 - 4-2 Rangers

I thought game 1 was going to be a little more open. Didn't realize the Flyers were going to play the "defense only" style of hockey.

Yeah, it's more the contract than the play. No idea why people keep saying he's declining... he's just playing on a team that can't/doesn't need to score many goals.

It's pretty unlikely that the Flyers win a cup this year no matter what system. After 35 years of waiting for the flyers to win a cup, I'd rather watch an exciting hockey team too.
