I do believe as the rumour has stated that Gillis did have a trade in place with Pittsburg that was suppose to happen at this draft. That again leads to players you may not be thrilled with.

Edler I don't think is going anywhere and I think it will be Tanev instead being moved.

I am still hoping for Markstrom Hansen 6 th over all Tanev for E.Kane. Winnipeg is the poorest of all franchises and likes the cheap build through draft type players according to their free press. That would be 4 young players for their troubles.

Tanev is in a contract year and will probably be asking in the 3-4 range . I don't think he is worth that much yet and we have COrrado that can replace him. My money is on Tanev out not Edler.

The idea that Higgins and Hansen were given some sort of ntc is laughable. If this off season is anything like previous, we may see a few moves but nothing that will satisfy the fan base.

A new GM has to get past this line of thinking. Sometimes the best thing for the future of the team is removing one element so that a new element can be introduced. Not that I'm advocating for getting rid of Burrows because I love what he brings, but from a "value" perspective, he didn't "cost" anything so whatever you get in exchange is actually a win.

But, the thing about Kesler is he is a bit of a wiener and you have to have a bit of that personality in the room or else it will be too milquetoast.

I think the team was declining before the coaching change . In fact that was the reason for the coaching change because the team was getting stale.

Canucks should look into that as well.

I can definitely see us trading our 6th + for Kane at the draft. The season ticket return policy indicates to me that something bold will be done so fans hang on to their seats next year.
