it's a dumb conversation . He doesn't play for my team. He will never be playing on my team . Edler won't waive to go there. So why are we discussing a player I couldn't care less about. |

I am not going to give up on a 24 yr old for another team because I was never on board with him.
He would never be part of my roster. - VANTEL
Well, all I can say is, we'll see how things pan out. My money is on a significant ressurgence, if he is moved (the sooner the more likelihood for success) and put in a proper situation which would allow him to succeed, he will become a consistent 50-60 point player. I guess time will tell |

I never knew you had a team! and yet you have an entourage consisting of only 2 women?! :ahh:
As far as your comment about it being a dumb conversation, if you feel that is the case, then just don't comment. Good grief |

I would say those are VERY solid stats. And again, we are talking about a 24 year old kid that has not been on a decent/winning team since he was back in JR for gawd sakes!
(.61 points per game - it just keeps getting better lol) |

The fact that he plays on a lousy time gives him more prime ice time.
Do you see him amassing those same points behind Hank Kesler and Manny during that same time period? |

Really What do you see as the deal then? - VANTEL
The team lacks depth at center, if you trade Kesler you need a young center coming back. My opinion. |

Ok IMO I don't see Gagner ever playing on the team I follow ,so I will refrain from any further comments - VANTEL
Ok, well that is a relief, as you realize we all live vicariously through your various boink-filled hijinks and shenanigans
I was just pulling your snout about commenting. The more input and viewpoints of posters, makes things that much more interesting. |

Sam Gagner also plays wing, so yes, I could see him thriving (even more so) if he was playing with either of Hank or Kesler.
And just because you see more ice time, it doesn't necessarily translate very much to success if your team is sh*tty |

Depends on his list of teams, guessing is just a waste of time. Chicago, Anaheim are the only two I've read, maybe Colorado too? |

Sam Gagner and Brandon Sutter - great, let's fill the team up with MORE bottom six forwards. Like we don't have enough already |

So I think you are referring to Etem or Terevanian ? Correct me if I am wrong.
They won't be impact players form2-3 years same as Pouliot, and at that time Horvat Cassels Gaunce Lain Mathias should all be NHL ready. Lain a 4 th liner. Plus whomever we draft this year.
We really have no D prospects IMO other than Cedarholm.
Plus Sutter is a third line center this year and can improve to 2nd line center. |

Etem could step in next year, but ya I agree about Teravainen. IMO the top six is a much more pressing need than the d core.
Bottom six - Gaunce Cassels Lain Mathhias
Projected top six - Horvat |

67 games 10 G 11 A . He may be ready but will not be an impact player yet.
Yes Gaunce Mathias bottom 6, I think you are going to like Cassels . He scores ,he passes he hits and fights. he is a sleeper pick, but will be a third line center. |

I think we've made a pretty good case for Gagner. As far as Sutter, he is primarily the victim of being stuck behind Crosby and Malkin, and had to adjust to a more defensive/two-way player role. When he was in Carolina he had more offensive opportunities and, as a result, had some decent success. He, too, is not even in his prime yet (25). I firmly believe there is more scoring potential in Sutter, but he too needs a better situation (more powerplay time and less time often playing head to head against other teams' top centres) to have any real success at accumulating offensive stats.
Having said that, Sutter always brings an incredible work ethic, a consistent 200 ft game and is also quite versatile. I don't think Sutter has the same natural scoring ability as Gagner but I think there is some untapped potential nonetheless.
But just to be clear, I'm not sure he'd be a good fit here in Vancouver |

Chris Higgins and Janik Hansen - same poop, hard working bottom six players. Good when they play there, bad when they're forced into a top six role. |

I think he will be good in 2 years , no argument. You know better than us AHL is not NHL.
Anyone of Etem Terevanian or Pouliot would be a huge step in the right direction. |
