I think your being a little harsh. DD has been great all year. He is very calm and smart with the puck. I missed bits of the game last night but I didnt see anything bad as far his his game went.

This is not a new thing to me, I have hated Doughty ever since he held us up for his contract. The season prior to that he was great, then he gets his fat contract and didn't play well at all. He also started chirping the refs, chirping other players, his smack talk is weak, he takes dumb penalties because he gets caught flat footed,

fair enough.......I sit close to the ice at staples and have been been regularly impressed by his play. I did see him behind the play last night but I was'nt looking at him with a critical eye. I hope he plays his ass off Sunday because we need his best game but, per your request, I will be watching him.

Sometimes he does try to put the game on his stick and overextend himself but he is still an elite player in the NHL trying to do everything he can to win.

I think one of the best ways to evaluate a player is to watch him without the puck and Doughty has been very good in his positioning.

even if all of what you said was factually correct, I would still want Shea weber over Doughty any day of the week and twice on sunday. I hear what you are saying, but mixed in with all that positive and upside that people only seem to see, is a player who is only Elite due to media hype, and makes horrid mistakes to this day. I am seriously going to put together a compilation video of all of doughty's full potato fails, and then you guys will have to admit, he is not what the media wants you to think he is
