So I'm thinking we keep Fast in the lineup. Had my concerns, thought maybe Carcillo should be in, but looks like Fast can be physical and take care of himself. |

Ducks aren't getting out of the second round.
Stay up late and take notice, the Sharks look like they might rip through the west.
Hanging five on Quick, in two periods, is pretty impressive. |

AV obviously likes Fast. He seems like a reliable, defensively responsible young player, and he is playing well with Richards and Hagelin. The question that I would have is IF the Rangers continue to play like they did last night, what do they with the lineup when Kreider is ready to return (if the Rangers get that far)? If all four lines are rolling well, that creates an issue. |

Sam Woo has vanished since the Devils have become a consistent playoff no show.
Three misses in the last four seasons. |

No issue, Kreider has to get reinserted into the lineup.
Keep the Brassard line together and the fourth line as well. For, as good as the lines looked last night, Kreider needs to be placed on either the Richards or Stepan units.
Kreider is expected to return mid-second round. There's no question he will get the chance to play in these playoffs.
My confidence in the Rangers, playing these Flyers, is so high it is bordering arrogance. |

I am not saying he shouldn't get re-inserted into the lineup, but I am saying that it would creat tough choices. As you said, the Brass line needs to stay together. And if the Stepan line gets going well, then you have an issue as to where Kreider goes. Do you mess with developing chemistry? Do you take out Fast, and make either Hagelin or Kreider play the right wing (which neither of them has ever played as a pro)? Do you move St. Louis or Nash down to play with Richards? Questions, questions, questions, and if the Rangers keep rolling, then those questions become even more difficult. |

The sharks are the last team in the west that I fear. Ducks dominate them in the playoffs year after year. |

Bruce boudreaus achilles heel is defense in the playoffs. The ducks collapsed in the 3rd last game against a thin stars team and barely hung on for the win. |

That 2009 Sharks-Ducks series was a long time ago.
Sharks matchup very well against the Ducks this season. History of playoff failures aside, there is no other evidence that San Jose should not be feared this postseason. They have a great blend of veterans, youth, speed, size and skill. |

Personally, I think you keep the lines together and put kreider in over fast on richards line. Give richards a sniper to feed the puck to and I honestly didnt like kreider with stepan and nash too much. He seemed to just be the puck retrieval guy on that line and just fed nash every chance he could. Kreider and hagelins speed on 1 line could be lethal. |
