I watched Simmonds interview last night. He actually gave the Rangers a lot of credit, and was pretty spot on about the game. - mdw7413
In reality, a lot of these current Flyers seem like alright guys off the ice.
That 24/7 documentary gave me this impression but of course they all could be just mugging when the cameras are on.
Either way, this has zero bearing on how much I hate that franchise and hope nothing but bad things for Philadelphia in this series. |

Again, hope your right, but we agree to disagree on this one. - B2B76
Yea, I'm not saying he's gonna pan out or anything. Just saying that I think it's too early to totally write him off. I'm personally giving him another year but it is looking bleaker and bleaker and more frustrating whenever I watch a Ducks game and see Fowler flying. |

Most defensemen take awhile to fully develop.
Not as confident, as I originally was, about McIlrath becoming a bonafide NHL defenseman but that ship hasn't fully sailed yet. |

It hasn't fully sailed yet, but all of a sudden he has competition within the organization. Assuming that Girardi, McDonagh, Staal, Klein and Moore are entrenched in the Top 6, that only leaves one spot available in the group for some young defensement to seize. Will it me McIlrath? Maybe, but Skjei, Allen, and others could fight for that spot as well, as soon as next year. McIlrath does have the benefit of being a righty shot. |

I'm guessing the Hartnell-Girardi bromance from the allstar game that year is officially over. |

Most of these guys are cool with each other off ice.
Back in the day, when Avery was a Ranger and Richards, Lupul and Carter were all Flyers still, they all met up at that southern music festival Bonnaroo(sp?) and were cool with each other.
The only one in the group that wasn't was Hartnell. Hartnell seems like a huge @sswipe though so I am not too shocked about that. |

the Wolfpack play their final two games of the season tonight and tomorrow and they are missing the playoffs. So I expect a large taxi squad callup after tomorrow night |

I think I remember Hartnell (and maybe other Flyers) skating together with some Rangers as part of some summer charity event. Do I think they hate each other on the ice? Definetely. Do I think they probably like and respect each other off it? Probably. Do I really care? No. The Rangers/Flyers is intense and nasty, and I love it. For me, I enjoy the Rangers/Flyers the most, because it is good hockey. |

AMAC and Girardi are similar in terms of shot blocking, but I think AMAC is a better puck mover while Girardi is better defensively. - rangerdanger94
Thank you.. I wasnt saying that AMAC is a better player, or they are similiar in skill level.. I just think that they both play a pretty similar style. Neither are fancy.. both are adept at shot blocking, both can move the puck decently but are primarily defense first guys. |

So glad they won last night. Had to put my golden retriever down on Wednesday, and if the Rangers would have lost last night it would have been a real poopty weekend. - mdw7413

Yeah he definitely doesn't seem like a people person. It still amazes me with the stuff that's said on the ice, the hits and other stuff, they can be friendly with each other off the ice. Just knowing my own personality, I don't think I would be able to do it.
On a side not, how smart was management getting Klein for DZ. Klein has been a defensive rock. With the emergence of McDonagh's offensive skills, and J Moore being given more of an offensive roll, it is one of those smaller trades that might not have looked wonderful at 1st, but I believe has really helped our overall D become way more balanced, and become at least top 5 in the league. |

Thanks Ducky, 15 years, and he was by far the best dog I have ever had. Even neighbors who were not dog people per say, fell in love with him. |

Yeah well, after the beating the Rangers put on the Flyers on Sunday, you'll be wishing for the nuclear destruction of NYC, with MSG being ground zero.
Just kidding, I don't know who'll win that game |
