The frustrating part is that it is only 1 game. If the Flyers steal game 2 they take away the home ice advantage. Sometimes you wish a game like that could equal 4 wins haha.

You gotta love playoff hockey though. It has only been 2 days and already 3 OT games, including that 3OT game between the Blues-Hawks. Going to be a fun 2 months.

That Blues Hawks game was great. And the Avs-Wild game was nuts. Its going to be tough for the Wild to get over that loss.

Think the hit by Hatrnelll on Mac woke him up a bit. By the 3rd he seemed to be near his normal self again from the seats i was in.

You're right and Giroux is a great player but he seems to be average when he plays the Rangers.

That's not just last night; that's generally over the last three seasons.

I can honestly say that I have never been this confident, in the Rangers chances to win a playoff series, since they played the Thrashers in 2007.

That isn't suggesting the Flyers are a bad team, they are actually pretty good, but this is not a good matchup for them...at all.

So glad they won last night. Had to put my golden retriever down on Wednesday, and if the Rangers would have lost last night it would have been a real poopty weekend.

In the Flyers (weak) defense.. It really was only a bad third period. The game was pretty even throughout... then the long 5v4 and boom it was a debacle.


I expect guarantee bet hope the Flyers will turn it around Sunday.

In all seriousness... we are desperate. He is actually a pretty solid player.. and with out him in the lineup we do have a pretty big hole.

Until our savior is ready to ascend to the NHL (See: Gostisbehere, Shayne), we need all the help we can get. MacDaddy and Girardi are actually pretty similar players.

Girardi & Mac have a big part in that.

Its not just you guys.. Its the Bruins, Devils, Blue Jackets, etc.

Any team that has an aggressive forecheck that puts pressure on Rossmann (no G because he is never on the ice for a goal) or Schenn we struggle against.

Girardi has been a legitimate top pairing shutdown defenseman for about four seasons.
