I think the team's ability to exit the zone is greatly helped (although it's still an issue) when Mason is in net because he can play the puck so effectively. Against a heavy forechecking team, it's important. Emery can't really do that. And it showed.

Yeah agree. Maybe Mason stops Zuccarello and the Richards goal (although that would have been an unreal save). Either way, the Flyers still lose and don't really test Lundqvist.

I'm just concerned that Claude didn't get injured on that. He's a smaller player by NHL standards and he got hit really hard on a mostly unprotected area (possibly the top portion of his hockey pants absorbed some of it). Additionally he was hit when he wasn't expecting it. He could have lower back issues, strain, bruising or worse kidney bruising. All very painful.

Zuc or Haglin would be good in my opinion, the Rangers speed will continue to give the Flyers fits until they learn how to break out better. I hope Mason will be set to go Sunday, regardless if Emery had a good game or not, I think it will provide a necessary emotional spark plus Mason is the better goaltender.

Flyers need adjustments to their breakout, if they can break out into the neutral zone better, it will lead to more pucks in deep and a better chance at zone time.

The rangers 4th line dominated ours. Our insane forward depth
