Rangers lucky to come out of that period tied. The only guy having a good period defensively was Staal. |

Disagree, we spent almost the whole period in their zone |

Thought Richards looked like he did when he was having success in the beginning of the regular season, was actually throwing the body. |

both teams are a bit lucky to be tied ... the Rangers certainly had more offensive zone time, and the Flyers had some real nice chances that they either over-passed on or the puck wouldn't settle down.
this could easily be 3 zip for either team.

I'm at the game and that 1st period was horrendous. I can't say anyone had a good period and we are so lucky to be tied. I'm waiting for stepans line to show up tonight. Disgusted with the 1st period from everyone. |

That line needs Kreider's speed and physical play |

Rangers clearly with the better of the play ... they're beating the Flyers to every loose puck.
the fact that it's still 1 - 1 is somewhat amazing. |

Rangers are.... missing the net, not getting rebounds and have only a few quality chances. |

Anyone else think Mac is only running at about 70%? He looks to be shying away from contact in situations he usually doesn't. Maybe it will just take him a few periods to trust his shoulder but I believe he's normally more physical.
Or maybe i'm totally wrong.

Hartnell got that one good shot on him on the play that lead to the goal, and there was one other solid hit on him that period that I saw.
I didn't see him shy away from anything; not that the Flyers came too close to any Rangers in the 2nd period.
