No, he didn't expect that bad pinch.

But, given that he was in position in case it didn't work out, he should've expected it could've been a lost pinch. He didn't have that awareness on the play.

If Weaver sits back and wait for him, Killorn is already at full speed he can easily burn Weaver toward the center of the ice, if Gallagher goes in behind Weaver to cover the boards it's an easy 2 on 1.
