Frankly, it was a stupid play for Akeson. A 170 lb forward going for a crushing body check in the neutral zone, just unraveled from there.

Got what they deserved....out worked ...out played and out coached. Emery wasn't issue tonight.....top line all the way down just were not as good.....

Akeson played pretty well tonight ... up until that penalty, obviously. But there's something about the team as a whole that feels a bit different with him in there.

I think I'd rather see the Flyers get back to the lineup that they've had success with most of the year. If Downie can't go, then I'm putting McGinn in there.

More important than anything though... Giroux has to figure out how to make an impact against the Rangers. And he needs to figure out how to make a mark without a lot of PP chances. If that happens, the entire dynamic changes.

Its not that to me. It stems from their inability to break out of their own end, or not get hemmed in there for long stretches.

Its a team game, and those guys from the back end are really struggling to initiate the transition.

Gotta figure out a way to generate speed out of the defensive zone, passing to a stationary forward along the boards just isn't going to work.
