When a Flyer plays it along the boards in their own zone they always think they have a millisecond more than they do. The Rangers D-man pinches hard anytime a flyer is receiving the puck with their back towards the blue line.

Having said that 1-1 in a game like this is flattering. If McDonald had gotten that on net in the last secs and scored it would have been huge.

We can steal this one with a lucky bounce.

the Rangers were outnumbering the Flyers along the boards on every loose puck ... there was one sequence where one Flyer was battling 3 Rangers, while 2 other Flyers stood 10 feet away and watched.

Rags announcers kept saying that though the Rags have controlled the play, the Flyers have done a good job keeping them to the perimeter and their inability to get better chances could come back and haunt them.

It also annoys me that when we dump the puck in, a Ranger corrals it and there's NO FLYER in the TV screen.

Start to get pressure down there and this game is going to end up in the win column.

Play like the first 10 minutes of the 2nd...not so much.

That's because most of the time they just spent a shift defending, and are dumping the puck, and changing. Flyers got pretty much throttled in that period. It's a miracle that it's still 1-1. Flyers stood around a lot flat footed, lost a lot of races to the puck. They better pick it up in the 3rd, or it will be lights out.

Seems to me that we are even in some areas of the game.

What this series seems to come down to for me is the ability to break out .

It will come down to power plays. If we get none, we will struggle to win.

You mean like Hartnell did in the first period for the Flyers only goal? Why try something that works. The Flyers would rather over skate pucks and nullify potential powerplays.

I would love to know the time of possesion in that 2nd period because Clement said the Flyers were pretty even in play with the Rangers. I swear our broadcasters are the biggest homers the NHL has to offer.

Smart guys. We've seen these games play out with other teams over the years, or with the Flyers seemingly dominating only to let the other team hang around.

This is when Captain Clode needs to do his thing. He's been the "worst" player on a largely effective top line tonight.

Man I want this one badly. Getting out of that 2nd unscathed is huge and I hope they use that as motivation for this period.

They better. Need to see a response from the Flyers in the 3rd. So far the Rangers top players have outplayed the Flyers top players. Although at least Voracek has been dangerous a few times. But Giroux needs to respond.
