Craig Berube has gone the untraditional route and has dressed three goalies for tonight's game. Two starting goaltenders, and one back up.
- KGBflyers10

Craig Berube visited my work today. He told me that he intends to lure the Rangers into a false sense of security by having the entire team tied together with a rope to inhibit their mobility. Next, he intends to have his team untied, but with their backs turned the to the play, and forced to use reflections off of the glass in order to play. Lastly, he will remove the skate blades from his players, forcing them to run on the ice, and then

BAM!!! Full-on bench-clearing brawl.

Berube is going to have the same game plan, and style of play that he has instilled all year, against any opponent. Play a tight gap, as a 5 man unit. Get the puck deep and manage the puck. Don;t allow them to use that transiton speed by turning the puck over with bad decisions and poorly executed breakouts and passes. Get the puck deep, and get on their defense. Get pucks to the net, and crash the net. The team that wins the puck battles, and manages the puck the best will win this serires.

who the hell knows what his plan is. and the players might not execute well or play anything remotely like he wants them to play so then how do you know what his plan is?

my problem with what you said is how you said it. as if it's fact with just a touch of smugness.

- hammarby31

Smugness?

I just laugh at this point. Little Richard syndrome, but thankfully Im assuming he will be dead in a few years. Seems like a real old timer. Just have to wait it out

How you read what and how I said it from typed word over the internet, is not my problem.

Hockey isn't a complicated game. Other then maybe a few set face off plays added based on a team's coverage scheme, or tweaking a breakout a little bit. They're going to play the same way that the Coach has been trying to get them to play since he took over 74 games ago or whatever. Same for pretty much every team. I can tell you how Boston is going to play and what they're game plan is going to be. Same as it has been all Season. Don't get into the playoffs and make wholesale changes.

ok, i'll engage just this once -

your first part of the reply is just more of the same of exactly what my interpretation was. how you can be so oblivious or have such little regard for how you come across to others is hard to understand.

the truth is you don't know what his plan is. you might think you know based on a season's worth of watching the team, and that's a reasonable point of view. but you still don't know. don't you ever grow tired of having to be right and believing that you know everything all of the time?

my reply to the original question is - i'm interested to see what they try to do as well. it's the playoffs, things ramp up, the pressure mounts, and there are some new players in the mix. anything is possible.

Let it go Hammar. He targets those who have dared disagree with him. No worries.

Make your predictions now. How many seconds before rags score first goal of series? I'll say 163 seconds into the gAme

The first part is a reply to a comment that you made that was completely unnecessary. There was no smugness to my comment.
My post had nothing to do with being right. Hockey is not a complicated game. Teams play within their systems, and stick to how they played all year. If the Flyers play Boston, they're going to face a 2-1-2 forecheck, a 1-4 neutral zone forecheck, and 2-3 defensive zone coverage. Same as they played all year. And it's not going to change in the playoffs. They might tweak a breakout, or run some different set plays off of situations such as offensive draws, add some different regroups based on an opponent, but not much is going to change. They're going to come out and play Bruins Hockey. Same as the Flyers are tonight.

I'll tell you that I have a horrendous feeling about this series.

Remember though I said Columbus and Detroit would make the playoffs and the Flyers wouldn't.

So you are saying teams are going to play completely different than what they did in the regular season? Use totally new systems?
- MBFlyerfan

Yeah not likely ... They might tweak things a bit during the game if the current system isn't working, but until then they will do what they normally do!

Next comment about another poster misses game 1.

And yes, he's as smug as all poop. But there's no rule against it. Yet. The worst thing you could do to him is ignore him. You do realize that, don't you? And yes, we all want the damned button.

I can't say horrendous is an accurate assessment of how I feel. I felt if mase started, the series goes 6 or 7 and either team can win. I am worried with ray in there but I guess he's played pretty well all year vs tough teams. I also hope g cranks it up and is a beast in the series. Also, I think Vinny has another gear.

i'm done. i don't disagree with his thinking...he could simply begin with "I THINK..." or "IT'S LIKELY THAT..."

if that happens first, then the rest doesn't. it's really very simple. just like the game of hockey.
