Price wasn't good. The Lightning were worse.

- Michael_Stuart

I love your arrogance while continuously referring to him as "Playoff Price". Every now and then, Carey has a bad game. This was that game. You guys needed to take advantage, and you failed. This is Price's first postseason with a healthy defense core since he's been in Montreal. He is ready and focused. I watched every NHL game that he has ever started. Since his Gold Medal he looks better than ever.

This series is still up in the air. Anyone can win. But "Playoff Price" will not be the reason we lose. You'll see soon enough, rookie fan.

You might want to post this in the habs thread because they were saying the same thing.

I'm very very happy with the way Habs played this game.

Losing this game would have hurt considering they were in control for most of this game.

Price probably had his worst game of the season and the Habs still won.... I'll take that any day and it's not good news for Tampa who couldn't take advantage of it,

Hopefully he bounces back next game (I'm sure he will, already looked way sharper in OT).

If that's your worst defensive effort since last May, I'm surprised you lost any games this year. 16 shots against in regulation. Montreal gave the Lightning nothing.

Ok you are a box score kind of guy. Thats fine. Go and review what TSN and Sportsnet has to say. Uncharacteristic turnovers, bad game by Price.. I saw 82 games this year by Montreal and trust me, Im not trying to be an @sshole, but our defensive game SUCKED!

Price was bad. That's different than having a bad defensive effort. You had a couple breakdowns. That happens on a good night too. The reality is that Montreal rarely allowed TB to get through center ice. I'll say it again. TB only generated 16 shots on net. It was a hell of a defensive effort from Montreal.

You may have seen 82 games by Montreal this year. This was the best defensive performance I've seen from Montreal this year against the Lightning. Last I checked, they've played since last May.

Find me one publication that says they played their worst defensive game in a calendar year.

"Our team was really well prepared, and I thought we played a solid game." - Michel Therrien

"I really liked the way we played. I thought we played a solid road game. We tried to dictate the game tonight, and this is what we did." - Michel Therrien

But if you watched all 82 games this year and decided that this one was the worst defensive performance, I'm not going to stop you from having that opinion.

Yeah I may have worded it wrong. I mean stupid turnovers plus a bad game by Price. Its uncharacteristic and you guys needed to take advantage. Obviously our D did a good job blocking shouts and keeping your forwards outside the perimeter. Just don't expect your "Playoff Price" every game.

Of course we had a solid road game. I didn't see the final count but we probably doubled you in shots, or close. Im just saying you are not going to get a perfect combination of stupid turnovers plus a "off game" from Price any more in the series. You failed to take advantage. Thats all

Its not a prediction, its a fact. Habs just won back home ice advantage with your "Playoff Price" in net.. and a bunch of ridiculous turnovers that every sports network in Canada seems to recognize. Unlike you, I'm not a c0cky fan... I still think this series is up in the air. 50/50... Just don't expect to score 4 goals every game

Your opinion is fact? I don't know what's going to happen moving forward. That's the whole premise of my point. Price could pitch shutouts over the next three games and sweep the series. He has that sort of potential in him. Or we could see more of what we saw tonight. I don't know. That's the beauty of the playoffs.

You're right. There were bad turnovers by the Canadiens. Nowhere did I say that there weren't turnovers. There were bad turnovers by the Canadiens in the regular season vs. TB too. You seem to think you know what's going to happen, and I'm the cocky fan?

Yeah this guy up here seems to be forgetting that.

So I'll play his myopic game and spin things the other way.

"The Canadiens barely squeaked by the Lightning and needed overtime to do so even though Tampa played its worst game of the season."

See how ridiculous that sounds? It totally ignores the fact that Montreal played a great game and was dragged down by some bad goaltending.

Theres a difference between c0cky and confident. Im confident in my goaltender. Im sure he will bounce back. Calling him "playoff price" every time you refer to him in your blog is c0cky. I could call you goalies "Soft Bishop" or "Light me up Lindback" if I wanted. But Im not that type of fan.

We know that. I saw you guys take us 3-0-1 this year. Its just that with so many turnovers and a bad game by Price, you could have really stole one tonight, and didn't. Friday's game is crucial for you guys

Lindback has had a brutal season. Bishop lacks big game experience. I'm not going to get offended if you point those things out. Price has faltered in the playoffs a number of times. There's no need to take it personally when someone points that out.

And I'm not even saying that "Playoff Price" will stick around. I have no idea. Neither do you. I said in the pregame blog that Price is arguably the biggest factor in this series. He gives the Canadiens a huge advantage in goal. But the fact of the matter is that he has stumbled in the playoffs before, and he stumbled in the playoffs last night. I'm not sure why you feel the need to vilify me for pointing that out.

I always get upset with this Price poop because he is the reason we are even in the playoffs. Without Price we are in the draft lottery last night. You'd be surprised how many Hab fans are throwing him under the bus after this first game. Makes me sick.
