I agree, the sandpaper aspect is huge always in the playoffs & especially against this opponent. Like you said yesterday, honestly now only Dorsett is keen on that kind of game. Others of course can handle themselves like Boyle (kind of), J Moore, but the point is Philly WILL try & set the tone physically & we have to be ready for that with elbows up in the corners, or the other way of course is scoring on the PP if they take needless roughing/unsp. conduct penalties. |

it's a guarantee the Flyers will take penalties
the Rangers have to make them pay on the scoreboard. If the Rangers PP fails, the Flyers will get dirtier and dirtier |

It wont be a cake walk, but their Top 6 matches pretty well with the Avs, and they have a deeper DCore on paper. But in all the Wild Avs games this year, they have had issues contain the Avs forwards speed, outside of Suter, none of them have really shown they can shut them down.
Series will be won and lost in the bottom 6. Wild have a stronger one with their youth, Avs is banged out and not looking pretty. Heatly seems to always find a way to score against the Avs.
They get to Bryz early they should be ok. I think it goes to game 6 - DDM-Coga
Avs were 4-0-1 vs Minnesota this year. If this series goes 6, it's one game to long. |

And if Philly is losing & the score is out of reach its a given they are gooning it up, that's when AV has to have Mac off the ice. |

Duchene is expected to miss at least the first 2 games. They're also missing their 3rd line center in Mitchell and Hejda, Barrie, McLeod, Sarich are all injured although I believe all of them except Mitchell and Sarich are playing. I think Hejda is very questionable to play though. |

I love all the Flyers fans saying they hope McDonagh gets hit clean by Simmonds or Rinaldo. They don't mean that at all. The clean part that is. |

I found a clip that includes Steve Larmer's overtime winner in the 1995 playoff vs Quebec.
Not a usual Ranger overtime winnner you see everyday
right in beginning, Messier jumps around like a wabbit

You are correct, Hejda, Barrie, and McLeod are all confirmed to be playing. Sarich has been out for a while with a bad back and hasnt been a staple on the blue line for weeks so thats not a lose.
Mitchell out is a tough one, but we just got PAP back so that softens the blow a bit.
Top 6 going intot he series:
Landeskog Stastny Parenteau
O'Reilly MacKinnon McGinn |

You think O'Reilly is gonna be a Selke finalist? I think him, along with Toews and Bergeron with Bergeron winning it are gonna be the nominees. |

I think he should be a finalist personally but compared to the other nomintations, he just doesnt get the attention the Bergerone, Toews, Backes get.
But he should win the Lady Byng hands down though. 60pts, top in the league in take aways, and only 2pms (havnig a broken stick in his hands after winning a faceoff) |

It makes no sense to put Fast in there.
Although Philadelphia is not loaded with hard hitters; they have enough to warrant Vigneault going with Carcillo instead of the rookie. - MidnightMarauder
I hope car bomb is in this series. Flyers/Rangers should be intense...... |

McDonagh is an awesome d-man.....but you know every chance the flyers has to dump the puck in his corner and make him go get it.....then make him pay for getting it they are going to do it all series long FYI Rinaldo is BACK! Keep your heads up |
