Gardiner is better than most give him credit for. Granted, he doesn't replace Giordano in the Flames lineup. Kadri is still young and producing at a very good clip.

And a 1st round pick (top 10) is pretty expensive.

I don't think teams want to dump young top-4 dmen, sophomore 50 point centers, and top-10 picks... Maybe the Oilers do. But most teams don't see those assets as things they want to dump.

He's like Karlsson his offence is so good from the back and his mobility by far make up for his lacking defensive game.

ah no. he's nowhere close to Karlsson offensively. but he's much better defensively. though i admit he wasn't that great from a defensive standpoint this year. too many unforced errors brain farts. but he's nothing like Karlsson. Karlsson just isn't interested in playing defence.

No and no.

ah no. he's nowhere close to Karlsson offensively. but he's much better defensively. though i admit he wasn't that great from a defensive standpoint this year. too many unforced errors brain farts. but he's nothing like Karlsson. Karlsson just isn't interested in playing defence.

As far as I'm concerned, the Norris is for the current season, not for a career achievement.

I'll (frank)en take Gio...right now dammit. Better than anything Leafs iced this year.

When I said before the season starts that Dion isn't any better than Gio and every single person on here ridiculed my analysis of the two players. I also said Dion would barely make the top 20 best defenseman in the NHL, he's not IMO. Just goes to show you the SOME PEOPLE put far too much emphasis on past stats and they tend to favor their own players for whatever reason.
