Did you miss MacT's press conference where he said he's not adding anything unless its a top 2 Dman? Franson is not that.
- Iggysbff

True. We should make a play for yandle.

And clearly forgot P.K. Subban.

(No I don't think he belongs there, it was a joke... calm down ffs).

Offence is the new Norris prerequisite for a defensman winning it, that said, PK would probably be on most GM's top ten list, IMO.

You think he's top-10 in the NHL?

Wouldn't be allowed to come off the ice if he were a Leaf.

He's like Karlsson his offence is so good from the back and his mobility by far make up for his lacking defensive game.

I just don't like him because he seems like a douche but at least he be our douche like bolland was. What do you think he ll get on the open market or do we trade for his rights?
- Yeti1181

Going to over pay no matter what, if he is available it will be 4.5 to 5.5m range, 3 to 4 years I guess.

Oh he'll have a chance to win another Norris in the future... I fully believe that, because you're right, offense does seem to count for alot.

But not this year, he doesn't deserve consideration.

I don't think so, but Carlyle would play him 53 minutes a game.

I could stomach 5 if he lets Phaneuf play the game he's always played and covered up when he takes chances.

I'm not saying he hasn't had a good year but overall his career he's been very good but I'm not going to say great.

Giordano is having a career year at 30. So, no.

I thought the argument was he was arguably a top 10 this season.

It was never qualified that way.

Nobody's denying he had a great season...

but when you call somebody a top-10 d-man... you expect more than one season of that type of play.

Do you think the Leafs should trade their 8th overall, Kadri, and Gardiner for him, and that that package is garbage?

He's had a pretty good career so far.

He's been unlucky to have it on a bad Flames team, though.
