because it doesnt do that

it pointed to the leafs not being a very good team.
the leafs are not a very good team

you can make up as much as you want like it didnt predict the camera guy on 24/7 stepping on Bozaks toe and him not being 100% for game 38 ... but you sound dumb

- senstroll

It was wrong for 3/4 of the season. Then Carlyle changed it up and Corsi was still wrong. Sorry man don't need numbers to see what happened.

Who can argue with that?

congrats on your successful 3/4 of a season.
you realize how that sounds right?

you are correct we didnt need numbers to watch the leafs implode. We all watched it live

but in October the numbers did warn us of that. I think that has some value

Once their goaltending plummeted to a crappy .920 something
- Woderwick

what?

during the crazy slide at the end of the season the Sv% was 0.879%

just did the math myself.

once the goalie became human.. the wins stopped.. plain and simple

Corsi didn't predict Carlyle changing styles and Nonis sitting on his hands afraid to deal.
- honesthockey

he made 2 in-season trades and was handicapped by a lack of cap space at the deadline. if criticism is to be levelled at Nonis, i think it's fair to criticize the moves he did make. i think some of them were ridiculous and illustrate exactly why Shanahan has been brought in. but this crap about him being too patient and doing nothing is ridiculous. he turned over a large portion of your roster in the last 12 months and signed Kessel and Phaneuf way before he had to. there's only so many moves a GM can make.

Just looking at Berniers .922 to end the year. The injury was unfortunate...and so was James.

thats my point

when the good tending stopped the losses came

that sv % is high because of the alien like play from the goalies for the first 3/4 of the season

its the only reason the leafs were even in the race.

Why does it have to be a negative cap hit? Everyone and their brother knew what the problems were yet no attempt was made to move players in and out to address it. You've also missed Lewieke discussing Nonis additions and what types of player LA won with.

Meh. I don't believe either goalie is terrible or great. I believe a ton of those shots were poor quality.

Once the team started pinching every play we starting giving up to many odd man rushes and the quality of those shots went way up. Quality of shots would be a better marker than shots directed at the net.

Our save percentage is good I don't know why theres so many goals - RC

Well randy, if your team gives up 1000 shots, and other teams give up 500, your going to give up twice as many goals lol

I'd say about 60% of the turnovers were from forced passes or ill-timed passes or brain fart passes. Less from simply pinching.
