According to King, there are several opportunities. NY seems the most likely , I'd really like to see them approach Saskatoon, I think the city would take well to it (especially if strong attendance meant a possible NHL franchise). Saskatchewan is different than B.C, there is no 1 team that everyone cheers for, so an AHL team should do well here.

Poor attendance mainly. They have a 7000 seat arena, can only bring in about 3000. Doesn't help that they are in Canuck country. I think you need to draw about 5-6000 ideally to make an AHL team viable.

Florida could very well take Dal Colle 1st overall, who knows Barkov wasn't projected to go 2nd by anyone.

Quite possibly. I think at 4 they will have 2 of the following 3 left to choose from: Bennett, Dal Colle, Draitsail. And thats the order of my preference for each. Just hope Bennett slides for his early playoff exit and Calgary gets him!

Nylander should turn out good too. Might be a reach at 4 but no one talks abt him and someone in the 6-10 range is going to be happy to select him.

I can see reinhart and bennet going 1 and 2. Then its up to Edmonton, do they fill their much needed D hole or do the smarter thing and trade for that player, or go for Daisiti.

Either way I think Flames are going to be choosing between Dal colle or Ekblad. I think they have to take Ekblad then.

I think they'll trade one of their 1st this year. They're in oiler territory now, they need some more veteran type players now that they dumped vanek, ott and so on.

I think they keep the pick. Trading it to tank yet again, last yr in Nassau, is not a good message for the new stadium. Minus well stay at 5, get a goalie and Dman, and give up next years which will likely be in the teens.

Well maybe, but their forward crop is pretty strong. If they get a 2D and a goalie, plug a hole or two upfront, they'll probably be in the hunt for a wild card spot.
