It's funny how everyone always misinterpets your posts. Coincidence I guess? Or maybe it's because you make comments like the one I responded too that need clarification? Now don't going exagerrating this now into some Snow apologists rant. You say something like you did like I was standing by waiting for the season to implode so i could be right. Sorry to say but this was a pretty obvious picture for most Jul 2nd. For the ones that had hope, good for you. For the ones that believed in the team we had and our coach and GM to help this team succeed this year well you're facking moron. Sorry. There isn't a Snow skeptic alive that didn't want to be wrong I assure you, myself included. Don't confuse Snow skeptic with common sense either. - Cptmjl
No..there's only two I can think of
2nd bold: Yeah...that's about right
That said, it doesn't mean that I think you were cheering against the Isles. That's plain stupid. It means that I think some folks are far more willing to embrace critiquing him as opposed to eating crow if he were successful. If the Isles had made the second round of the playoffs, and I'm not talking about you specifically, but it would be far more quiet in terms of mentioning Snow.

The problem is we didn't and we won't so in a results oriented job he has failed. |

Yup. If Snow was working on his third Stanley Cup, all would be fine and dandy. |

Persistent rumor in NHL offices: Barroway wants out clause from Barclays as part of deal for #isles
B.D. Gallof @BDGallof 2m
This way if revenue projections are below expectation for fixed number of yrs: would be able to MOVE team #isles (no likely NOT nassau)
B.D. Gallof @BDGallof now
Also completely up to Barclays if there is truth to this bc no such clause exists in the current deal #isles - Vukota
No shortage of drama. We may end up in Quebec yet. Just kidding. |

and anything less?
(waiting for the "2 cups would be fine too" comment)
I don't think it's far-fetched to say that folks were going to be far more emotional/passionate in their criticism of Snow given this years failure than in his support if they moved on to the second round this year. |

This is called Begging the Question:
http://www.logicalfallaci...ion/begging-the-question/
The argument is silly. Snow would have had to put the pieces in place for this team to make it to the second round. |

Well, I never expected it to drag out over two pages It was more an off the cuff comment, but as typical...... |

It was circular reasoning. If it makes you feel better then I agree with you - we would like Snow better if he was better at his job. |

No..it became isolated at which point it was circular reasoning. The point was that he started with a handicap with many fans, much like DP did and therefore there was a lot of built up aggression ready to hit the fan after this years failure.

Nah, two different comparisons. Hamonic's play improved throughout the season where as Bailey did his usual act we've seen year after year. - Vukota
Hamonic got a lot better as soon as AMac was put on another pairing. Dehaan helped stabilize the defense even more when he came up.
Next year could be interesting, but it's going to be a very young defense unless a move is made:
Hamonic Dehaan
Visnovsky Hickey
Strait Reinhart
Carkner Donovan
any bets that this is any different come the season opener? I think this is exactly what we're going to see as our defense.
As much as I hope Reinhart can step in as well as Dehaan did, I think we need one more solid top four defender. I do not think we're going to get one. I think we're going to see very little except for a new goaltender.

my next year projected point totals for the big three rookies up front:
Nelson - 20 goals, 25 assists, 45 points
Strome - 18 goals, 38 assists, 56 points
Lee - 22 goals, 19 assists, 41 points
someone save this for next spring
**edit - this is if they all stay healthy and play the year with the big club.

I agree. They would be somewhere in NY. Cannot imagine Barroway wanting to take them out of NY anyway. |
