I know, it wasn't directed at you. You weren't the only one speculating what moves Snow would make. The guys is a one trick pony. Pick up other teams rejects, waive them when they inevitably suck, repeat. It worked only once with Streit, but he just keeps doing it.
- JimmyP

streit was signed as a free agent.

it worked with hickey, grabner, moulson (kinda), nabby

Your telling me that Brodeur is not better then Poulin and or Nilsson combined???

- kasperrko

im telling you that if my only options for next year are brodeur or nilsson, im taking nilsson.

brodeur brings nothing to the table and wont be getting any better.
with nilsson there is at least the slightest possibility he could learn to play the position and improve.

Oh Boy you are more out of touch with hockey than I thought. I guess you don't know that it takes years for goalies to mature. Even though Nilsson might have a promising future next year is not it or even the year after. He belongs in the AHL to work on what he needs to do. I was just saying that Brodeur would not be the worse thing in the world to happen

It worked with Moulson and Grabner. Hickey only worked because we had no one better. That's more of a fail on Garth's part than a success. Nabby is a special case. It's also debatable if Garth would have picked him up if the goalies didn't get injured.

I do believe that was his point. I'd say he's better than Nabby as well. Suggested we go after him LAST off-season when Devs acquired Schneider. People laughed.

Ok we disagree nothing new to be honest, but I still feel that Nilsson and Poulin both need more time in the Ahl before they make an impact.

All in all we need another goalie. I would love for Snow to trade for one or sign one other than Brodeur, but I will also not be upset if he did signed here

The only way I'd want Brodeur here is if they do not intend to extend Nabby. It would make absolutely zero sense to carry two goalies near 40 years of age. Signing Marty would have been a mistake last year and would be one this year as well. Let's aim a little higher here.

I agree. If that's their plan then they should give Buffalo this years pick
