Tallon is the gm and he will draft an impact player. That's how he builds teams.

Could trade down a couple spots and pick up other assets. Edmonton wôuld be a great partner? Also might have other top 10 teams wanting a stud D man!

Agree, teams might over pay for that franchise defenseman! That's why it sucks that Buffalo didn't win the lottery, many options for the Panthers!

*If the Panthers take Bennett or Reinhart, Buffalo will get calls for Ekblad

That guy from Florida last night was the son of the Panthers owner! He was more concerned about what cologne he used, than what pick they received!

He couldn't even name their top prospects I bet

- Irish 14

Oh, I picked up on most of that, but the question they asked about a quick fix or a slow rebuild was the one he answered and actually sounded like he knew what he was talking about.

They gave him some information! But he couldn't wait to hit the strip!

Really cause 2 other coaches couldnt get through to Grigorenko and you obviously dont watch junior hockey because Zadorov has struggled with consistency. So once again please give me Nolan examples of him not being able to coach talented players.

Also those players were selected 12th and 16th I wouldnt call them top 2 picks

- Stripes77

Neither are a top 2 pick in a draft. Again Give me the Nolan example. How he develops talented forwards. Or change the topic again.
If the sabres draft in top2 the pick stays here.

That is a very good option for us too. I know that Ekblad is a great prospect but we just honestly have a lot of guys that are NHL worthy but not enough spots..

Myers, Ehrhoff, McBain, and Weber are all here next year...

Risto, Pysyk, and Ruhwedel will probably be here as well..

McCabe should be here unless something changes..

Zadorov has a chance to be here as well.

*looks at our top 6 potential forward depths*

*cries immediately*

Yup. And Girgs physical style play rubbed off on Hodgson. He was throwing his body around out there when they were on the same line.
- HonkFortheGoose

Was he really? I wasnt paying attention much the last couple games but I did watch them and didn't notice that.

CoHo has went from a player I really really like to a player I thought was underachieving big time. I hope he starts the year of with Girgs and plays a little more physical because he generally plays like a softy

What are you talking about? This entire conversation started that you said Nolan struggles to coach talented players. I asked you to give me examples of those talented players he has coached to struggle. He hasn't had a talented player to coach, so bashing him saying he can't coach talented players is such a cop out BS reply.

Dawe, Holzinger, and Plante had their best seasons under Nolan.

Audette was a ppg player under Nolan.

Just saying.

Is setting Atlanta Thrashers as the favorite team still considered ironically funny?

He also coached Marchand in juniors and as much as I think he is a POS he is a good player

He was actually going into the corners and coming out with the puck, he laid the body quite a few times.

I can see how you would miss it, because I probably missed a bunch too. I would turn the games on but wasn't really paying that much attention either. I guess I just so happened to catch CoHo playing physical.

Plante and Dawes were minor leaguers away from Nolan and the Sabres

I love this preconceived notion that he can't coach talented players. He tends to get the most out of his players but people choose to ignore that.

That says something about Nolan.

Plante had 56 pts under both Muckler and Nolan.

To be fair, the most talented player we have ever had hated Nolan.

I know Hasek was nuts but there is a reason why the NHL is sort of divided on Nolan
