I'm lucky enough that I'm actually off on Friday, and I believe they're open that day for at least a few hours. It just would have been nice to have been able to get it Sunday when I had to be there anyway. I knew this was going to happen.

You can make numbers work for you all day long. I can do the same thing. Let's find guys on garbage teams and make comparisons. You win. You have succesfully put me into submission. You gold star for chat forum hero is in the mail. My logic is deemed inferior to your hockeybuzz resoning. There is no way the Sabres would look for a "young, highly drafted forward" (Tim Murray's words not mine) and consider looking at their defense as tradable to get there (again - paraphrasing Murray). If we pick 2nd (which is where this all stemmed from) then Ekblad could be the pick giving us a good looking D corp for when this team is ready to perform. It is not unreasonable to think that in 2 seasons Zadorov, Risto and Ekblad can't be full time contributors. By then we'd have some scoring (maybe Kane, maybe not?). But why would stinging together logic make sense. Kind of how Hodgson>Kane based on 2 seasons with tons of different factors. PM me your address, I'll get the gold star out ASAP.
- Charlie Conway

I get the logic, i just don't agree with it. Myers is the perfect age for this rebuild.

IMO it makes little sense to move a 24 year old 6'8 althletic freak who's rounding out his game and keep a 32 year old Ehrhoff who doesn't want to be here (from what it sounds like)

"Regulars" is funny. Considering I used to be one, long before you showed up. You know, back when the regulars actually had decent ideas and good discussion. Sorry my alternate views don't align with the current regulars, might be a reason I'm not a regular anymore.
- Charlie Conway

It's fine to have a difference of opinion. Where this conversation seemed to veer off course was your condescending tone in your replies.

You made a mistake, 4 of us pointed it out, and you got all huffy about it. Nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes, but you could handle the criticism better.

Charlie Conway seems to be taking himself a little too seriously ! Trying to sell us on Evander Kane being our answer and Tyler Myers as horrible hockey player . We are all idiots and he is a internet tough guy !!!

- Maximum Signal

Go find once where I said Myers was horrible. Most discussions go off the rails when you start making things up. I said he still had good value to get a good forward in return. You can't read either! Thats what is wrong here! Noone can read!

Know what kills me in these threads?

You constantly have some stupid argument going on, which granted its the internet, not a huge deal, but for whatever reason each party always assumes the other is at fault.

Well, let me tell you, as someone 100% not involved everyone that is looks pretty petty and foolish. Doesnt matter whos in the right, or whos being most offensive, it makes you look stupid.

Just think of that next time you want to participate in some stupid hot headed internet debate. No one looks good. You aren't "winning" the conversation, everyones just digging one huge grave.

But whatever. Its pretty hilarious, so please continue.

If you think Tim Murray is trading Tyler Myers straight up for Evander Kane is logical I can't help you but why not send me your address so I can send the guys with the straight jacket to get you the help you need as your mental capacity is clearly lacking here.

I am not making numbers work for me. They just work because its true. Evander Kane is on the stat sheet the same as Cody Hodgson but by your logic you would trade your number 1 defensemen for Cody Hodgson like production.

Here let me help you grab what you are so desperately trying to reach for. Don't come here post incorrect facts and expect to not get crap for it. Especially since you are not a regular here. Insult regulars here is a good way for you to join the likes of Squirrel and Todd congrats!

IMO Ehrhoff is moved for someone like Spezza.

I'm not advocating that, just have that sense.

I could see that happening, and i would be fine with that. Erhoff has looked pathetic lately, it seems abundantly clear hes done with this team.

"It's fine to have a difference of opinion. Where this conversation seemed to veer off course was your idea wasn't what anyone on here thought could happen or should happen.

You made a comment, all of the "regulars" didn't like it, and then when you tried to use Tim Murray's words, real stats and an idea of how we score more, we all decided it was a wrong opinion. Nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes, but you should just admit Tyler Myers is the solution to the worst team in the league and can never-ever be moved or should even be discussed."

You said he won the Calder and has gone down from there ! to which a few of us replied you must not have watched him this season. Then you wanted to call people idiots . Have you followed the Evander Kane situation at all . Got 1 coach fired with his playe . The next one benched him . Is in legal trouble . Million dollar talent with a 2 cent head . You want that tire fire around . Not a Ted Nolan type of player. Seems to lack character.

i can believe it.

ultimately its not a huge deal. just can't understand people that for whatever reason think they can participate in some drawn out ridiculous argument and still hold onto some "holier than thou" attitude.
