I saw unbelievable skill in watching him in the tournament, granted it's against far weaker competition then what he would face at the NHL level, or even in the AHL for that matter. I think he has a chance to be a dynamic offensive player. His size concerns me some, and not sure how well he will play in his own end, but the offensive side of his game appears NHL ready now. - PLindbergh31
I didn't watch the Finals, kind of kicking myself right now, but it is what it is. His size is the only real concern for me, because at this point, short of a serious regimen of growth hormones, he's likely not going to pack on a lot more weight. If he could get closer to 190 lbs instead of his listed 160, I don't think it would be as much of a concern.
Of course, this is all my opinion so take with some salt. |

Definitely takes risks. Perhaps he does because he knows he can get away with it at the collegiate level. He may dial things down a bit when he turns Pro. - PLindbergh31
Exactly. That was the problem with Jack Johnson. He was so good at that level that he was basically uncoachable, and is just now starting to settle in defensively, and he still has a way to go. That's why I'm preaching patience with Ghost, don't want to see the same. Don't steal his gifts, but refine his game a bit (i.e. take what you're given, but don't overcommit). |

If you hate most Flyer Fans so much, you shouldn't be going to places they are known to frequent... like a flyers hockey game, or a flyers related forum.
Without people having different views, the only thing you would get in here all day is people telling Bill how good his blog is. (which it is). Talking is talking. Sometimes people say stupid things. I have a good memory too. I could talk about people being straight edge. But I avoid that topic because I know it annoys you.
But I guess haters gonna hate. Whether its a Goalie that is crapping his pants, or fellow posters on a forum. Some people are just Tools. - SchennBros

Tobias Enstrom....Torey Krug....and going further back to a guy like Brian Rafalski and even Dan Boyle.
It's possible for smaller d-men to be effective. I think he's got a great chance.... - johndewar

5 regular posters, one former poster and one future poster. Good times.

Minnesota had like 10 drafted players on their team and some future draft picks. It'll be a jump but he was playing against future NHLers out there as well. I look forward to seeing him if he signs. I think he will. They can say what they want about Gudreau and I really like that kid but I thought Gostisbehere was the best player in the nation hands down. - mayorofangrytown
He looked like the best player on the ice every game I saw him play. Only 4 games, so it's a small sample. |

If freaking gostisbehre goes back to school I will flip out - Just5
On one side, he might want to finish his degree.
On the other side, there really isn't anything left for him to achieve at the college hockey level, unless getting a Hobey Baker is super important to him.
It's a tough decision. |

Same here. I didn't notice Bobby Ryan, I mean Johnny Gaudreau, that much in the semi finals, but noticed Ghost every shift. Hands-down was the best player in the tourney this year. |

Or he may want to go back to College, get all the hot babes, go to Spring break, and play one more year with his College buddies. Before going Pro. |

Jack Johnson's problem is that he had zero push-back at the lower levels... he was bigger and faster and more skilled than everybody else... I don't think a smurf like Ghost could get away with not being smarter and craftier than the giants around him. |

Who will score an NHL goal first? Gaudreau or Laughton? |
