Never said I would have boo'd him, but I understand why people do. Maybe your well enough off that dropping 200 bucks in a day is no issue for you, but some people its a lot of money. And to do that when the team is rostering an AHL goalie and AHL players must be annoying.
- SchennBros

So really, what you're saying is that Holmgren and Berube are to blame for putting such terrible players into the lineup? I mean, if we're rostering AHL players against NHL players, then I'd expect the goalie's numbers to look poor.

You sir, are not bright when it comes to hockey assessment. You just aren't. I'm sure you're a nice guy, and I'm not calling you dim-witted. But when it comes to the way you analyze teams and players, you just seem to constantly be erroneous to a laughable point.

We should find out where he lives, beat him with a bag of pucks, harass his gf via twitter, and berate his parents for ever giving birth to such a failure.

Patrick Roy once had a game where he let up a few bad goals, or so the legend says. Obviously a career minor leaguer.

The game didn't matter. Why on Earth would anyone spend that kind of money for a meaningless game?

Oh, people did? Then why don't they shut the (frank) up and just watch the game then.

I love how some of you guys think your superior to other Flyer Fans. Heck, I love how some of you guys think your superior to other posters in here. Like your opinion is the only thing that matters.

I wasnt analizing or assessing anything. I was just saying I get why people would be pisses a goalie lets in 3 out of 4 bad goals in the first period.

Well don't worry, once they rip their NHL roster and prospect pool apart to draft the second-ranked player in a weak top-5 draft, he'll make it so that no Flyers goalie ever has to face a shot again.

In no way have I ever claimed to be superior than any other poster here. I think you have me mixed up with a few other people.

I'm simply stating that for people to dish out tons of money late in the season, when games don't matter, and then decide to boo an AHL goaltedner making his first NHL start mercilessly; well, they might need to have different priorities in their lives.

Anyone else think that the Wings could actually take out the Bruins? The Bruins are the favorite, deservedly, but the Wings are the team that I think is best suited to oust them, even more than the Penguins.

Oh I bow down to your awesomeness. Your memory is just so intact it remembers everything and just spews it out... Just like my Wife will remember the 1 time I left the seat up and she fell in 4 years ago when I ask her to do something.

Flyer's fans are a passionate bunch. So when goals are scored against, whether it be defenseman's fault, goalie's fault, or a bad deflection, fans get mad and some will boo and say [insert name] sucks. Right, wrong, or indifferent, every team has those fans, some more than others.

Did Heeter deserve the boos? In my opinion no. His first NHL game and end of the season. Give the kid a break.

Can I understand why some fans would boo? Yes, no one likes seeing their team get scored against.

Conclusion: who gives a (frank). Move on. Next topic.

Leaving the whole superiority bit aside...

If those fans at the game yesterday didn't realize it was the last game of the season, the Flyers had nothing to play for as their position in the playoffs was locked, and some players were likely to be getting a rest, they aren't too bright.

And they have every right to boo whomever they want, doesn't mean it's not an ass move, and it has never helped anybody get better.

I don't think they will. I have Boston in 5. Datsyuk is just coming back from injury... Is Zetterberg even back yet. Just not sure if they are in the right position to take out Boston.

I think the Red Wings will give them more trouble than what people are predicting. I could see it going to 7 easily. But I think Bruins have better goaltending and defense. Offense seems evenly matched.

Have to a agree with your point. A fan that's paying attention might have an inkling that with the playoff situation decided, that some players might not play, and that the game might not have the same feel to it. Although I think after getting down 3-1, the game got pretty exciting for a meaningless game.

The Red Wings can get it done, no doubt, especially if Zetterberg gets back in the lineup and Howard doesn't let in anything weak.

Exactly. They were starting a kid and, definitely in the beginning, no one had any jump on either side of the puck. Granted, the middle 3 goals were garbage, but when the kid's under siege, he's basically crapping his pants the entire time. Still, once the game settled in, he got his legs under him and actually played pretty well. Some people were acting like he was Martin Houle or something.
