I was down at the game yesterday and was once again pretty pissed off with some of the fans.

Heeter was completely exposed on the first goal of the game. You cant give a star player like Skinner and open look like that.

1 shot, 1 goal, in his first game.. Certainly rattled him. Next its a 2v1, then breakaways, and blah blah blah.

This clown in front of me was screaming at him, giving him the finger, told him to go back to Hershey (for whatever reason) and just would not quit. I finally yelled down and told him to shut up.

Then, every time a puck came near Heeter he got a Bronx cheer.. sad support. Shouldnt be surprised, but I was.

I was there too. The crowd was on him a bit, for sure, until he got his bearings. It might have been a bit excessive, but I was glad Berube resisted any urge (if he had one) to yank the kid. Let him get this out of his system.

I felt like the Bronx cheers did stop after a while after he managed to make a few saves.

I live near Hershey and it amazes me how many people think they are the Flyer's affiliate.

Those 8 losses at MSG over the past few years is wayyyyy overblown. Exactly the type of poop the media loves to feed upon and the players could care less about.

Home or Away you've got to play 60 hard minutes, have a solid team defense, and score more goals. Not complicated.

Should've mentioned I was headed down yesterday, we could've had a mini buzzgate and made everybody else feel excluded

I'm banking on Hartnell taking 1-2 goalie interference penalties early on, and I'm okay with that. Under no circumstances can Lundqvist think for a minute that he's gonna be nice and cozy in his crease. Get in his face, get in his space, create some havoc in front of him and, if need be, bump him early on. If the Flyers let him get settled in, he's that much harder to beat.
- jmatchett383

Agree totally. Have to make it a hard game for Lundqvist. Get in his grill. Hopefully the refs let em play. No ticky tack calls.

Yea, Why can't they give him the "nice try" cheer. You know, the one you give the chubby kid that hits the t-ball but is out at first. Geez, I hate these guys too. It's not like they are dropping 150 bucks for a pair of tickets plus 15 bucks for parking and another 40 bucks for food and drinks.

I like him, but another player in Nashville is what the Flyers really need.

So you're a clown as well?

I paid 160 for my ticket three months ago. Doesnt mean Im going go sit there and when the kid has a rough first period, with little help from his defense, shout and holler stupid stuff.

They scored the 4th goal and there was a collective groan. Next, a lets go Flyers chant.

Agreed with the sarcasm here. After giving up a goal on the first shot where a 30-goal scorer was left wide open in the slot, the fact that he didn't instantly play to Patrick Roy levels should have prompted massive booing and, realistically, he should have been beaten by the entire coaching staff.

You're talking about a young kid, playing in his first game, being left hung out to dry on his first-ever shot. He was clearly shaken, but after the 4th goal, he actually settled in and made some nice, quality saves. But yeah, all of the fans should have reined down boos and heckled him mercilessly to better help his development and to inspire him to play better.

The game didn't matter. Why on Earth would anyone spend that kind of money for a meaningless game?

Oh, people did? Then why don't they shut the (frank) up and just watch the game then.

Never said I would have boo'd him, but I understand why people do. Maybe your well enough off that dropping 200 bucks in a day is no issue for you, but some people its a lot of money. And to do that when the team is rostering an AHL goalie and AHL players must be annoying.
