If you watched the games, you saw how much play tended to move quickly to the O zone and stay there when he was on the ice. He had a goal and two assists. The first Union goal to tie it was a bullet after a very risky pinch. He was pretty dominating in that game and it was electric.

If you want to discredit Eric T's neutal-zone findings, be my guest. Make an air-tight rational argument against it that goes deeper than simple term-dropping (context, false positives, confirmation bias) and surface-level critiques.

But trying to debase the hard-working fan who volunteers 90+ mins x 82-games toward meticulously track zone-entries? You can do better than that.

And judging by her twitter and her dedication to the work, she's just as big (if not a bigger) fan than you -- so show some respect.

I described the source of that information as a "female" simply because I did not know her name, and she was in fact a female. If you want to try and accuse me of gender bashing, knock yourself out. But that's just looking for something that is not there, in order to deflect away from the actual conversation. Whcih is telling.

I did make a clear argument against both sources findings. And it's clear from the pictures that were offered. Each shift and play has to be looked an individually, to see if the defenseman made the right read. I stated this previously. Does he have the back checking support? Is it an odd man situation? And the type of player also has to be taken into consideration.

I don't care how hard she works at it. That's her choice. Doesn't make her findings correct, not the conclusions drawn from them. Based on her twitter comments, she doesn't know the game very well. As she is falsely using advanced statistics to label a player a bad player. Those statistics aren't capable of doing that. It's not personal.

If you want to continue to discuss the actual discussion of advanced stats, I'd be happy to continue. But if you want to continue to make false accusations against a poster, of bringing gender into it. I'm not interested, and we'll just let the moderators handle that.

Getting a bit nasty in here. Imagine if we had missed the playoffs again.

And even though I'm still kind of choking on the sixth year for Mac, without him I think the Flyers would have missed them. The Mez-Schenn pairing was that bad.
