Again, if Kimmo wants to come back, they'll most likely move one of Grossmann/L Schenn and replace him with Lauridsen/Alt, and keep the forward unit pretty much the same. Plus, I don't know if Kimmo can command another $6M deal.

They needed to add two defenseman this offseason. Theyve added one in Mac. If Kimmo doesn't re-sign, they will need to make some move.

I don't think so. He clearly has lost a step. i know he has played well but with them finally drafting d and possiblely some in the ahl that might be able to fill in, I think the AMac deal was done knowing they are moving on. If they move Grossman/L, Schenn they are moving one of there more phsycal dmen. Lauridsen filled in ok but I don't see him more then a 7th dman. Alt could fill in but I believe he is more a two way dman then an actuall physical defenseman. maybe Bill can provide some insight to what he thinks.

I don't know why he keeps repeating the false claim that MacDonald is only a 4/5. He wasn't that in New York and he hasn't been that here.
