Yah, it was a direct response to a question about leverage... he answered it intelligently, but people seem keen on reading way too much into the response.

After Justin Schultz, it seems that people assume that any half decent NCAA prospect is a flight risk, when those cases are actually extremely rare.

One of the great things about college is that it gives you options.

Please point out where he "jumps" into the box, as opposed to leaning over the glass and falling after it gives under his obesity.

Also, that particular incident was due to Tie Domi was taunting him and spraying water on him, not because the guy felt butt hurt at Domi.

I heard it's because he's afraid to play against Neal.

Exactly. After James Neal is traded to Winnipeg for Evander Kane...

...which some Penguins fans think is a terrible, horrible idea.

That spirit must be broken, rebuilt, then break for lunch, then broken again, and if there's time left, rebuilt again.

Sounds like an awful lot of work. Maybe just the lunch break part?

No, a junior. And he stated he'd rather play on a team closer to home.

...rumor has it he scored a goal as a member of the Calgary Flames last night...

He left Boston College, where he was playing with his Brother to go to the bumhole of the NHL Calgary? That franchise is a trainwreck.

Not anymore, they had a very respectable season. Edmonton is the ongoing train wreck.

Yes, to go play on the other side of the continent for a horrible (yet improving) team in a frozen tundra, all after stating that he'd prefer to stay close.

But, you know, since Ghost answered a question posed to him both fully and intelligently, while never staying a desire to play/not play here (and while stating that he respects the organization), it means he's going to jump ship and play somewhere else.

Interesting....

Gostisbehere was asked if he might have more financial leverage in leaving now, rather than waiting until after his senior year.

“I guess you could look at it like that,” he said. “But when you graduate, you can pick a different team sometimes, so both ways.”
