trotz was with the preds for 15 years...not exactly the best example.

And his teams have made the playoffs with the same sh*t payrolls that ours have had. Their problem the last couple of years has been the fact that they simply cannot afford Shea Weber, which they are choosing to blame on their coach. I'd take Barry Trotz calling in once a week from a remote location over the coach we have now.

How the fack did this team finish 4 games over 500 since JT went down. Especially when you factor in the other injuries
- Vukota

Because they stopped playing pond hockey for a couple of weeks when Grabner and Okposo got hurt. Once Capuano got comfortable with the kids, it was back to the pond hockey and inconsistent defensive play. A few more weeks and they'd have been back under the water again.

im certainly not disagree that trotz is in a different coaching league than cappy...all im pointing out is that if you are going to use trotz as an example that cappy should be fired than you may end up getting your wish...in about 11 years from now.

True. Plus there was more effort from the call ups. Even Bailey put forth some effort on one or two shifts a game. Now he'll relax again until next March.

While I can understand wanting a new voice after 15 years, Trotz was not given enough resources to win. I'd take Trotz on the Isles in a second.

Got it....I was thinking more in terms of comparing the two, which is like comparing a coach to an imbecile

I can't even describe how pissed off I am about this. Snow better give Buffalo this year's draft pick. The Isles will suck next year.

Well we are down to praying Wang sells the team in the near future.

How do you tell the fanbase with Trotz and Lavy out there that you are bringing Cappy back?

@StapeNewsday Capuano may be back next season, but many fans won't be. This needs to end!

Very true Vukota. It's not like Wang and Snow make themselves available anyway.

now more than ever, words cannot describe how hopeless i feel about the direction of this team.

i can no longer come to the defense of garth/wang...whatever is going on over there defies logic...i can try to rationalize that something may happen because logic dictates it should happen, but the decisions just seems so random.

what the (frank)

Edit: if this team does well, and they have the TALENT to play decently, it will be in spite of management...horrendous, plain and simple, just horrendous.

Unless the Isles have a big offseason, who is going to buy tickets to this team? It takes some stones to bring back Cappy and again with Trotz and Lavy sitting out there. That is a big FU to the fans.

I just don't see it happening. If they get a legit number one goalie they have a shot at the playoffs. I see Snow signing some guy off the waiver wire. Cappy will play Nabby until he's injured (it won't take long). Déjà vu all over again.

Or, being talented enough to win despite your management.
