Being a big Hexy fan, I said to myself, jeez.. that's exactly like the mask Hexy wore circa 89 to 90.. he had a white arrow version as well as a black arrow.

Also forgot Leier will probably be in the AHL next season. I just think if he was an above average skater his size wouldn't be held against him.

Undersized + average-at-best skater + so-so defensive player + very good AHL point getter but probably not good enough to score his way into a top six NHL role usually equals a player who mostly plays in the AHL (and perhaps eventually in Europe).

There have been goalies who have been strafed in their first start...it happens.

It's good, sometimes, to know that it's the real deal in the bigs.

Last goal - Akeson fell down behind the Canes net and never made it back into the tv screen that I could see.
