Followed up by some sh1tty goaltending again from Nilsson.

If it was Poulin, this board would be flooded with comments. This team has done a horrible job with these young goalies. They need to hire a goalie coach with a winning track record that the goalies will respect.

Career back up. No consistency. Gives up softies, makes the ridiculous saves.

C'mon, the kid needs time. I'm not saying he will be the franchise goalie but give him a break. Let him play in Bridgeport and we'll take it from there.

I'm still not understanding why Nilsson gets the chance and Poulin rots in the ahl. Poulin looked more ready to me and didn't get a chance to play behind a more defensive focused system (slightly). Nilsson just looks too deep in the net, makes himself too small and keeps allowing sh!tty long range softies.

sick of bad goaltending. Needs a massive upgrade. No more kids or seniors.

I agree. Poulin looked much better than Nilsson and had to face countless 2-1's and breakaways. Poulin complained about the coaching or lack of so he was sent down to the AHL. It's pretty sad with the Isles in the lottery all these years and still cannot develop a young goalie.

I understand all that but i just think Nilsson doesnt develop into an elite guy. Consistency is critical and Nilsson hasnt shown any. I hope im wrong.

Nillson is up now because Poulin is going to be let go this year. Nillson will be in the AHl and brought up after an injury.

Neither Nilsson or Poulin have seen close to enough NHL ice time to draw conclusions.

Dan's blogs have addressed this. Give him some time. He has a lot of potential. Keep in mind he was very sick for a year.

I like his reflexes. If he can master the positional techniques he can be a good NHL goalie.

And ive had enough with the love affair the coaches have with bailey. He does sh*t out there and still gets PP and shootout time.

I'm glad they allow the spin-a-rama in the shoot out. If they're going to allow a skills competition to decide the game, then they deserve what they get.

His passing is fantastic and he's got a great slapshot, but he's still weak and doesn't look very quick. That said, he's been a lot better since the olympic break and I do believe as he gets stronger he'll be a lot better. Not sure about next year but by Brooklyn he should be a 60 point player and a solid second line center.

maybe he'll still be here when the rebuild is complete. I swear, Charles & Garth make the Shirk Brothers look like one of those reality shows where they transform a house in 3 days.

He is only a baby. Give him a couple of years and he will be putting up 80 points a year. Kid is gonna be a stud.
