2nd, Doug Weight will coach the balance of next year.

Worse than that, if the team manages to right the ship based on the addition of a top goaltender and further maturing of our kids (very possible), then their success will ultimately buy Cappy even more time beyond NEXT season.

BD suggesting it could take years to complete a deal....

I don't necessarily agree since I think both parties would be interested in expediting the situation, as would the NHL. But unfortunatley the vetting process, etc...it won't happen before next season IMO.
