Based on?? The Rangers have had zero success in the playoffs recently right? That trip to the finals is a long time ago now, although, given the turnover in the Ranger roster since 2012, that season is now a long time ago now. I still maintain they aren't as physical as everyone makes them out to be. - Blueshirts4ever

Name the two teams to win at least 1 playoff round in each of the past 2 seasons.
I will spot the first one for you: LA Kings.
Anybody want to guess the 2nd? |

This a big loss for them, one of the few proven playoff performers on that team. - Blueshirts4ever
Hurts their top six, but Letestu has been very good the past five games on the second line |

I'm with you, I thought Duck was implying the Rangers had little success while the Flyers were this great playoff team that missed the playoffs last season.
Winning 3 Game 7's in the last 2 seasons is a nice experience to have in their hip pockets I would say |

I got girls but I got them both pink Ranger gear, whether they get into it remains to be seen, too young. But when we were at the Coliseum last week for the Disney princess show my 5 yr old saw a billboard of Grabner & said "Daddy, its the Rangers". I had to say "No hunny, those are the guys WE DON'T like." - B2B76
Neither one of my daughters care for sports, my wife says my level of fandom ruined watching football for her, so not shocking my kids don't like it. They know it as daddy's show when on TV but my younger one will sit with me when watching just to keep me company. |

Yes, he has, his name has been on the scoring sheet. Not having Horton would give them one less thing to worry about. Our top D-men routinely slow the other team's best down, Horton is a big boy too, I think it does take a little of the jam out of their game. |

Point being, unless you won the Cup, I don't know how you can be considered a better "playoff team" than the Rangers recently.
I really think the whole notion using past playoff success a barometer for the future is overblown. Nobody is a good playoff team, even if you make it every year, only 25% of the teams even make the Conference Finals.
To me, playoff team is having a good goaltender, good special teams, and willingness to battle. I think this team has all three. May not be the best at all those things, but pretty solid in them all. |

Thats the missing link. If they only score 2 PP goals in a series, they need to be game winning or tying goals on their way to 2 of the 4 wins...needs to be clutch. |

Yeah, listen, we all acknowledge anything can happen, however, the Philly at MSG thing has to be in their heads, and lets face it, McDonagh and Girardi kill Giroux and Hartnell, they do nothing against them, need that last change for 4 games. Thats huge, b/c if you take Giroux away, do they have another way to hurt you? Its not like they have a goalie who can steal them games... - Blueshirts4ever
Exactly, and that's why I want Philly in the 1st round. |

The difference this season, I think, is we will not have to win 2-1. We can rely a bit more on our offense, so if we go down 1-0, 2-1, the game is not over. I am hoping for a couple games like last year's 5-0 drubbing of the Caps in Game 7. Nothing like a stress-free playoff game, especially sitting in the visiting arena watching opposing fans slowly file out.
But who am I kidding, I expect every game to be a 1 goal game and every series to be 7 games. |

What makes me lean towards Columbus is that they only have three 20 goal scorers and Philly has 7. I will take my chances against Bob (we own him just as much as we own the Flyers), shut down Johansen, and feel pretty confident that we can take out a team with little playoff experience.
Plus, I want Philly to knock off the Pens so we can win round 2. |

Anyone knocking off the Pens in round 1 will require a miraculous PK. We all know they will get multiple man advantages whenever they need them. |

From the Rangers game notes, "Henrik Lundqvist made 23 saves (Thursday) to improve to 33-24-5 on the season, including a 16-14-4 mark at home. The Rangers goaltender is 8-2-1 with a 1.89 GAA, a .935 SV%, and one shutout in his last 11 games, and has posted an 11-4-1 record with a 1.81 GAA, a .939 SV%, and two shutouts in his last 16 games." Talk about ending a season strong.. |

To give a quick hopeful schedule of events. Pete V wrote a blog that I will get posted either Saturday or Sunday. Once the matchups are set, I will have my behind the numbers blog posted on Tuesday by the site admin, since Passover starts Monday night. After the first two days of Passover end, I will post a Game 1 preview sometime Thursday AM. If anyone wants to wrote a blog for April 21 or 22, let me know, as those are the last two days of the holiday. Of course, all this is health permitting... |

I would agree, except if Toronto had not blown up against Boston in Game 7, we would not have been out in 5. Not saying round 1 is a cakewalk, but there are 3 more rounds, and with the set bracket it is pretty easy to look ahead. There is a huge difference between Columbus, Philly, Montreal and Philly, Pittsburgh, Boston. |

Fast pass is critical and depending on where you are staying (on site) you can get it done from your hotel before you hit the park. You will also find people before you get on the monorail or ferry.
Also if you plan on seeing the Frozen Princesses you should expect someone in your party to be on line for 3 or 4 hours. They are in Norway right by the Malestrom. Or get to Epcot early and get online while the rest of your party does spaceship earth. I was there in January and waited on line for the Frozen girls for 3 plus hours. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I was online with another father that was a Bruins fan so we were able to stand there and talk hockey.
Good Luck

They aren't that strong, wish they were at times.. was sitting in kitchen finally eating something for dinner when Nash scored, my younger daughter goes daddy can't cheer like he normally would because it would hurt too much |
