The biggest problem with LSchenn is consistency. He's hit or miss. Some games he plays very well, others not so much. He's still young, but you would like to seem him have a bit more consistency to his game. His game is fairly simple, physical, stay at home guy....
- PLindbergh31

Nonsense, no young player (forward or d-man) enters this league and plays at an above average level.

Think the kid just lacks a bit of natural instinct... the gears in his head seem to turn a bit slow. Hopefully it's not hereditary.
- Tomahawk

I think you hit the nail on the head. There is a slight bit of indecision with LSchenn. It seems like he is trying to think a few steps ahead and it gets him in trouble.

Imagine if we needed to use him long term as a top d-man.

Long term that's scary, but next year how scary is this lineup if they don't sign MacDonald

Is it just me or has Luke played better since Mac has become his partner? I think that is one of Mac's quietest yet potent contributions so far.
I think he is solid defensively and that gives Luke confidence. Maybe it's just me...

No doubt he has, but lets be realistic, he played some of his best hockey in a Flyers uniform late last season when paired with Lauridsen, so I'm not sure how much you can read into it.

I'd rather package the pick and try to move into the top 10 and go after a guy like Hayden Fleury.

I can't argue with this. I think experience will help but hockey is such a fast game that one small lapse and you are screwed.
I played defense in soccer and I was always watching plays unfold and being in the right place at the right time. Loved the thought game. Tried indoor soccer and hated it. Of course you couldn't push people down or run them into the boards in indoor soccer. I might have stuck with it if I could have...

he causes me, unfortunately, to have the defenseman-version of the syndrome of yelling "shoot, shoot" when the PP holds on to the puck too long - in his case, it's move the puck, move the puck now, no seriously, move the puck. Why are you still holding on to the puck? Are you still holding onto the puck? What the (frank)?

Well sure, but I think its a safe bet that if they don't sign AMac, they will either make a deal or sign someone else.

I really don't like Streit and Grossmann together. I think on paper they should be good but in practice they are meh...

That's the funny part, though. He was really quite good his first season in TO. Even better than he was last season.

His confidence is pretty fragile, too, it seems. Like an abused child.

His first season seems to have been his best to date. Which is somewhat odd.

I'm shocked all our players don't act like abused children. We fans are pretty dang brutal.

No chance. Doing something to get into the top 10, constitutes making a splash. Unpossible. The Flyers will ABSOLUTELY make their pick which will be in the 15-20 range.

Edit: And if they do make a trade, it has nothing to do with draft location, it will be a hockey related transaction that they would have made on Mars.

Basically a case study in why you don't put an 18-yo dman into the NHL on a bad team.

I guess it could always be worse... he could be Sbisa-bad.
