Dennis Miller once berated me at the Phoenix airport. Pretty amazing story. I'll have to remember to tell you when we get that beer.

Ha, I'd like to hear that story. And I'm always good for a beer or two. We'll have to find a playoff game where me, you, Bullies and anybody else can hang to watch the game.

I didn't see the game, but I heard he played well. Didn't he have 2 assists?

Kid can absolutely fire the puck.

I'm not saying "plug him into the top 6 this fall".

What I am saying is that all of the raw materials are there to be an excellent defenseman.

Absolutely

I'd much rather him screw up the Leafs than screw up handing out suspensions!!

Honestly, I think that Leafs job is a great job to have right now.

If you win, you are hailed as a hockey genius, whether you are or not.

If you fail....well, the organization is dysfunctional and you can put dirt on Larry Tanenbaum.

Hopefully we can say the same about the Leafs franchise.

That, sadly, is true.
The league, and I mean Bettman and the owners, care much, much more about $$$$ than they ever will about player safety

Ryan Wilson (the Pens writer here) summed it up pretty nicely on his own site:

Well, duh
- BiggE

Well if the response is well duh, then why does being labeled an underdog, which is all it really is, is a label. Mean that they have less then a 50% chance? When it comes down to it, with the exception of the truly top teams such as Boston, all the rest are pretty similar and equal.
Drop the puck and play, and that will determine who will win. I would like being labeled an underdog.
