Was he also wrong about the Flyers acquiring Yakupov?

I think Ghostibehere probably already has the puck handling and offensive game to play in the NHL. The question is going to be can he handle NHL forwards physically. Or at least hold his own.
- MJL

Morin is playing well, I think they'll want to guage him at the start of the season but won't want to carry both kids on the opening roster. That's why I think it will shake out like I do. I think Gostisbehere is ready. He doesn't seem to have a problem handling sizable players now.

This.

I think he'll need some time in the AHL to get used to bigger bodies. I would be very surprised to see him get anything more than a preseason look with the Flyers next season.

He's not going to find them in the AHL either. The only way he's going to get used to dealing with Pro Players is to play in the NHL. A couple months in the AHL should get him as prepared as he's going to get.

The problem is, he said that his parents are pressuring him to finish his college degree, but is considering going pro right away.

If Lecavalier can keep up his recent hot run and have a strong playoff, it could lead to Schenn being dealt for a natural winger or defense help.

Schenn could also still settle in as a winger, I just don;t think he'll work on a line with Vinny, because they tend to go to the same spots on the ice.

- Jsaquella

Vinny's goals since the move to the 4th-line "rejuvenated" him, and who he was out against when he scored them:

BOS ES (Campbell/Paille/Thornton, Bartowski/Boychuk)
BOS ES* (Bergeron/Eriksson/Kelly, Chara/Boychuk)
FLA ES (Howden/Pirri/Hayes, Robak/Olsen)
BUF ES (Scott/Leino/Ennis, Weber/McCabe)

* - goalie pulled, out as extra skater w/ top-pp-unit for tying goal

Mostly he's been feasting on the worst players of the opposing team... the vast majority of his shifts are out against 4th-lines and 3rd-pairs. It's a lot easier to find room and make plays when you're getting a steady diet of Colton Orr and Ryan Reaves.

Even if Vinny keeps scoring on the 4th-line like gangbusters, I'm still not thinking of trading Schenn, because I don't have any confidence that Vinny can keep doing what he's doing against top-4 dmen and forwards that can take a regular shift.

I'm also not assuming Laughton can step in and make an impact.

That's a completely different story but he's had three years of study. I think you could make a million dollar argument to sign this year and finish those college courses in due time.

What are your feelings on hot chocolate? Masala chai?
- bodiva88

I find hot chocolate, or among us esteemed connoisseurs hot cocoa, to be splendid beverage during the winter months. Its combination of chocolate, milk, and sugar is divine. Yet its inability to make a real foot hold as a year round drink remains one of the biggest "busts" in the hot beverage industry. Everybody thought it would break through in the summer of 2013.

I see masala chai as a beverage that is truly on the rise, as opposed to hot cocoa. Its emergence from the South Asian market is one of the true underdog stories in the tea community, nah the entire hot beverage community. Next year it will be one of the headlining teas at Starbucks. If it makes a good outing there it could go big.

As well as Morin has played as his season has gone along and it's been a nice progression he still needs more time, it's not even a question for me.

Gostisbehere I think will have an adjustment period & it's better that happens in the AHL.

Damnit. Because when I think about what this team really needs, what really will win us the cup the answer is clear: YAKUPOV

I cant believe Holmgren hasn't realized this yet. #FireTheClown

I really like Laughton. I can't wait to see him here next season. He's ready. He's doing everything in the CHL. (I wish getting suspended wasn't one) He's doing all the things that scream NHL ready forward.

I think as far as the physical game is concerned, the AHL is a step up from College Hockey. And that would give them a better look if he can handle the physical aspects of the Pro game. And I'm not saying that he can't handle it. I don't know. All I'm saying is that's what is going to determine how fast he makes it to the NHL

I watched what happened live & it wasn't 100% clear, I've since went back & watched a few times & it's still not clear.

The OHL must have take the ref at face value because they never even announced his suspension via twitter or their own website.

Then you agree with me completely.

Morin will get a look and head back to the Q. Gostisbehere will start in the AHL and transition to the big club sometime during the season. I think mid to end of the 11th month.

The problem is, if doesn't make the team and has to play in the AHL, he will only make about 50k. That isn't much more than a free year of college.

There was other things going on and the camera was late to it & it was literally a blur.

It seems like a player came towards him & it was more of a reaction but can't be certain.

So you're saying we agree. You just don't know when he's getting to the show and think, given what I've seen of him, that I'm gonna guess prior to December.
