still think the habs are worse off than last year?

just need to point out.........more for travis' sake, as he's the one who's been blasted for the last couple of years........that i'm having a debate with leaf fans on the general boards, and they're using corsi as the "be all, end all" support for their arguments. and these are some of the guys who were the loudest critics of advanced stats when the leafs weren't a complete calamity.

it's pretty funny how quickly things change.

in terms ot the regular season, they're pretty much the same.......and i fully expect another ass kicking in teh 1st round....so all in all, not worse, but not better.

He struggled early on for sure. But a lot of the decisions were made based on the future/development. Not saying it was the right choice.

i'll never get this "future development" thing.

wiercioch is the same age, has shown AT LEAST as much, if not more then cowen has at the NHL level.

the only difference, IMO, is that ottawa spends 1 mil more on cowen, then on wiercioch. this seems like a pretty stupid reason to focus more on one guy, at the expense of the other...........but it is melnyk's team, so i'm not really surprised.
