Downie returning tonight per Carchidi.

Lines will most likely look like

Hartnell-G-Jake
Schenn-Raffl-Simmer
Downie-Couts-Read
McGinn-VL-Hall

Berube says McGinn over Rosehill.

Lots of people are getting their lineup wishes tonight

I like this lineup.

Has anyone mentioned that Zac has his biggest meltdowns when Rosehill is in the line up also?

I think the game where he went full batpoop crazy on Roussell/Dallas had both players starting.

I wonder if this is more then coincidence.

It has to play into the coach's mind set.
Especially if it is say NYRs where goals are hard to come by.
Will he even get to play?

I think he could be done for the season, but I won't be surprised to see Berube use him in the play offs. He should be on a tight leash.

Rino's one issue, but I would really like to see how Downie plays.. He really needs to pick it up the remainder of the season here.. January was so promisign when he was paired with Cooter and Read.. he's regressed so much and I think we'll need him playing well to do damage in the playoffs.

definitely on a tight leash ... and I could see him sitting vs NY.

I could also see him in there vs Bos or Pitt, rather than McGinn.

I am going to have low expectations for Downie.
Coming back from what was certainly another head injury/concussion, it is going to be tough for him to have his timing and everything back.

I think getting him a lot of game time the next four games is very important, but I'm not expecting much.

As long as he does nothing too stupid I will be happy.

If he helps that 3rd line (which actually looked good the last two games with Rinaldo) then great.

To start, but he'll see plenty of time moved up to the 2nd, as well as PP time!

he has had success doing exactly this lately.

whatever it takes to win, I am in favor

he does bring another dimension to the 4th line

in the start of the recent games the 4th line with VL has had some great shifts, keeping the puck alive on good cycles and sustained pressure

the other thing you have mentioned that I believe will happen, VL will have at least one game changing, big goal in the play offs

hopefully more then one

I like how Chief used him as a floater between the 2nd and 4th line. Gives the opposition a different look and shakes the matchups up.

I certainly like that better then having Lecavalier on the 2nd line at LW.
