So like do you actually think I believe Giroux is better than Crosby? Or are you just trolling for the sake of trolling?

It's probably the second one.

Not bucking any trends here.

The Rangers bias is incredible in that last CBC video of the Rangers/Flyers 1997 PO. I don't think it's because of the Rangers are an original 6. I think it's because of a lot of the Rangers players - starting with Gretzky and Messier.

What a shot by Lindros on the game winner. But all the announcer can talk about is the great "attempt" by Richter to stop it.

I figure if I live to be about 425 years old i'll outlive the anti-flyer sentiment in the media and the nhl

Seeing all five games of that series live is one of my all-time sports fan highlights. Game 3 the guy I was with (Ranger fan) stood up after E stripped Mess for the trick and I said, "but it isn't over" (there were 40 secs left, I think) and he said, "It's over!" in a tone that brooked no further argument. So we left.

Game 4 I was in the same seats (I introduced the guys who share the seats, so I'm in now whenever the Flyers play) with a friend who worked for Snider. We were in colors (but not until we got to our seats and changed before we left the game) and when E scored to win with 6.8 secs left we just quietly said "oh my God" over and over again. It was the most best awesomest thing ever in all evers.

Memory geekfest over. I still can't believe I've been to two SCF finals. I just hope someday I'll get to go and see them win one. But I can't say I feel horrible NOW about losing. I felt wretched then (still hate Kane but back to Chicago being my childhood misty-eyed kid team).

Your first comment in this series "hello, pot" was the appropriate one. Ignore and move on, please. Someday there'll be a button.

Downie returning tonight per Carchidi.

Lines will most likely look like

Hartnell-G-Jake
Schenn-Raffl-Simmer
Downie-Couts-Read
McGinn-VL-Hall

Berube says McGinn over Rosehill.

Lots of people are getting their lineup wishes tonight

The goal by Lindros in game 4 of that series with 6.8 left was one of my all time favorite memories as a Flyers fan. I really thought that was the year. As I remember it, it was tied and Zuburs poked the puck to Lindros all alone in front of Richter.. I was like .. will he shoot a wrister, deke or what.. then I see Lindros haul back for a half slap shot and I am like.. OMG...don't miss the net.. unleashes a cannon into the top corner glove side.. I lost my mind cheering...

Thought that was the year.
