If we could slot Spezza in the 2nd line spot to play with Loops then it'd work, but what would he cost in a trade? He's injured all the time and not reliable, so why pay anything of value...

Teams like Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Edmonton, Carolina, New York Islanders and Washington are going to be looking to make big splashes to shake up there current rosters!

Ya me too... It actually works for both teams.. Spezza becomes the #1 C that TO desperately need. Bozak goes to #2 making Kadri the expendable piece.

Cowen get's a fresh start in TO and I think Cowen will actually become a good 2nd pairing guy. Dion is the real beneficiary however since in Ottawa he will be paired with EK65 and can just focus on hitting and shutting people down. He won't be asked to carry more than he can like he is now. The #1 pick is because TO is getting the best player in the deal by a long shot in Spezza.

Kessel is just going to keep getting fatter until he is slow and useless. Trade him IMO

I'm all for the Isles improving and I do see teams making big moves this offseason, but the Isles do not need blockbuster moves. They get a goalie and top 4 dman and a proven coach to go along with their young talent and they will be fine. No need to move a couple of top prospects for the Sedin's or Byfuglien
