I think this person is incorrect, but he would be a perfect fit in Columbus as long as we didn't have to give half our team away to get him. The CBJ needs a big time scorer that can get 40 or 50 a season, he would fit in the with the other Russians we have on the team, we have veteran leadership to take that load off him, and we have a nice line waiting for him (Horton, Johanson).

Won't happen in a million years, but nice to think about.

That article had me a bit spooked. Delete Ovechkin and insert Hall, Delete Washington Capitals and insert Edmonton Oilers......with one mahjor difference:

Edmonton had sucked bad enough since drafting Hall to draft RNH,Yak ,Nurse and a lottery choice this year. Once they got Ovie, that was pretty much their team.

Hard to say. If Washington was serious, they would probably want something like Murray, Dubinski, and a couple 1sts. Personally, I think CBJ could absorb that hit with the depth they have.

Yaks has without question the highest potential of that scenario. Put up points in his rook, but struggled this year. Absolutely still has the ability to be an elite goal scorer. While I also truly believe gags can be an extremely effective 2c in another situation and surrounded by some defensively capable guys.

But we get the 2 best players currently. That fill needs,but with lower ceilings.
