Sorry but being a Flyers fan for 25 years and making the playoffs the majority of that time with not winning a cup, just making the playoffs is no longer good enough.

I with you man. Tired of rooting blindly for a team that can't win it.

This team doesn't have the balls to win it all.

Emery, Rinaldo, and Rosehill were the three best players today for the Flyers.

How many games are they going to win when that happens?

- Marc D

So far they are 0-1 when that happens.

They have to do something to get Schenn and Simmonds going at even strength. Buffalo...look.

What you can't do is trick yourself into giving Rinaldo more minutes. 8-10 on the fourth line is great, and he has earned those minutes honestly.

If Downie can go, get him back in. If he can, you give Schenn one last chance to get himself and that second line going, giving him Raffl as the LW.

Vinny can center the fourth line one more time...but for me, tomorrow would be it. Either Schenn does something worthy of a Top 6 forward, or I gotta move him down for a few games...because right now, it isn't working for him

- AllInForFlyers

Ice time is earned, not given. If you can't compete or won't compete, you get demoted. Don't like it? Start working harder.

Schenn has been given a ton of slack. Time to sink or swim. With our season on the line, there is no time left to worry about his feelings.

What is their magic number? 4 after the Washington loss last night? So if Caps lose to Islanders tonight then it's down to 2 correct?
- Flyers1218

the 'magic number' is simply 1 higher than the number of points that teams not currently in the playoffs could possibly achieve. right now it is 92, so 93 is a lock. in order to get to 92 the devils and/or the leafs would have to win out, which is doubtful so the number of pts req'd will likely be less than 93 but 93 would get you in

I don't want and don't think they would break up the top line, but someone else said this and I believe it's true. BSchenn could really use a possession type winger on his line.
Like Voracek.

I agree
And I only put Rinaldo on the 3rd line if Downie can't go, other than that he's on the 4th with Schenn and Hall.

It's all rhetoric anyway.

I want them to play with heart and pride. Winning without it blows, but is better than the alternative. I'd still like to see some emotions.

These guys have been pretty carefree since 06. It's wearing on me.

Laughton looks solid but passing on Maatta for him... ugh. I will never forgive Homer for that. I will always for eternity hate that we passed on Maatta... what could've been...
- FLYERSROCK!

Maatta has been a healthy scratch for a few games recently. Hes been getting beat a lot. The Pens are beat up on D, so scratching him is substantial. There is a long time to go before that pick can bd judged

Schenn has no points -- NONE -- in the last seven games.

You can't hide that, at some point. They have to do SOMETHING different than they're doing to get that kid going, and he has to put himself in position to do something

That second line has killed this team this week. The Flyers haven't gotten ANYTHING from them, when even a little bit could've turned around these games

You got your wish with Vinny back in the middle....lost the draw clean on the winning goal with six minutes left....I mean clean.....yup I had the same question....why is he taking a d zone face off with the game on the line anyways ?...he's played LW pretty much since Xmas.....
- landros 2

Good, they should leave him there. Lost faceoffs are going to happen. Have to bear down and do better. He's played Center for pretty much 15 years, and is pretty experienced on faceoffs.

Doesn't help that our third line is having a bad offensive season as well.

They haven't played that well lately, but to say they don't play with emotion is to ignore a lot that has happened this Season. I believe they set a franchise record for comeback wins in the 3rd period. A carefree team doesn't do that.

I do cut the third line more slack because checking the guys they get asked to check...that is some heavy lifting those boys are asked to do, night after night

Defensively they've been great. But to be honest... teams don't really have checking lines like this anymore. It's an outdated concept.
